We understand that you've been struggling with prayer and Bible reading lately, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this journey. Let's remember what God's Word says in Romans 12:12 WEB, "rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer."
Firstly, let's address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." So, let's ensure that we always approach God in Jesus' name.
Now, let's tackle the issue at hand. During such times of spiritual dryness, remember that God's love for you has not diminished. Sometimes, these moments can be opportunities for growth and renewal. As it says in Psalm 63:1 WEB, "God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is finding it hard to pray and read Your Word. We ask that You would reignite their passion for Your presence. Remind them of Your unfailing love and the power of Your Word in their life. Give them the strength to endure this season and draw closer to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Encourage yourself with the words of Hebrews 4:16 WEB, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." Even when it's difficult, keep pressing in, for God's grace is sufficient for you.
