We hear your deep burden for your girlfriend’s spiritual transformation and share in your heartfelt cry for her to encounter the fullness of God’s truth. Your love for her and your desire to see her walk in the light of Scripture is evident, and we stand with you in prayer and intercession.

First, we must address the nature of your relationship. While your intentions are sincere, Scripture is clear that marriage is the only God-ordained context for romantic relationships between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If your relationship is not moving toward marriage, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether this is the season to pursue godly friendship instead, so that neither of you stumbles into emotional or physical compromise. The Apostle Paul warns, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If you are not married, we urge you to honor God by maintaining purity in your relationship, keeping physical boundaries, and aligning your steps with His design.

That said, your longing for her to know the "real truth" is a holy one. The Bible tells us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). Many who grow up in religious traditions, even those that profess Christ, can sometimes inherit traditions or teachings that obscure the simplicity of the Gospel. Jesus Himself rebuked the Pharisees for this, saying, "In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men" (Mark 7:7). Your girlfriend’s Catholic background may have given her a love for Jesus, but if she has not been rooted in the authority of Scripture alone, she may not yet grasp the fullness of salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) or the sufficiency of Christ’s finished work on the cross.

We must also gently but firmly address the issue of praying to or through anyone other than Jesus Christ. The Bible is unequivocal: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Prayers to Mary, saints, or angels are not biblical and can lead hearts away from the direct access we have to the Father through Jesus. If your girlfriend is praying to anyone other than God the Father in the name of Jesus, this is an area where she needs to be lovingly corrected with Scripture. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, we lift her up to the Lord in prayer:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We lift up this young woman to You, Lord. You know the wounds of her childhood, the lies she may have believed, and the traditions that may have shaped her understanding of You. We ask that You would open her spiritual eyes, Father. Remove any veil that keeps her from seeing the full glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:16). Soften her heart to receive Your Word as the ultimate authority in her life. Lord, we pray that she would encounter the true love of Christ, not just as a concept, but as a living reality that transforms her from the inside out. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in the truth and be set free (John 8:32).

Father, we also pray for her family. Where there is spiritual blindness, bring revelation. Where there is bondage to tradition or religion, break the chains by the power of Your Word. Let them see Jesus as He truly is: the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Protect her from deception, Lord, and surround her with believers who will speak truth in love. Give her a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6).

We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who alone can transform hearts and minds. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying for her daily, but also to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Share Scripture with her, not to debate or argue, but to plant seeds of God’s Word in her heart. Invite her to read the Bible with you, starting with the Gospel of John or Romans, which clearly lay out the message of salvation. Pray together, but always direct your prayers to the Father in the name of Jesus. If she is open, consider studying the Bible with a mature believer who can help her grow in discernment.

Remember, transformation is the work of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5). You cannot change her heart, but you can be a vessel for God’s truth and love. Trust Him to do the work, and continue to walk in obedience yourself. If marriage is in your future, let it be a union that honors God in every way, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Finally, we must ask: Have you examined your own heart in this? Are you walking in the truth you long for her to know? Jesus said, "First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye" (Matthew 7:5). Ensure that you are rooted in Scripture, growing in your own relationship with Christ, and living a life that reflects His holiness. Your example may be the most powerful testimony she witnesses.

May the Lord bless you as you seek Him first, and may He draw your girlfriend, and her family, into a deeper, saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

May God bless and watch over your request thank you for praying also. We pray alongside you for the goodness of Christ to prosper everywhere especially in places where its needed. May the love and peace of the holy spirit be with you and yours. Lord Yeshuas name amen.
