Heavenly Father, You see the pain and the distance between me and ### I bring our brokenness to You because You can heal what seems impossible. Please soften our hearts, remove our pride, and replace anger with grace. Teach us how to forgive each other, speak with kindness, and rebuild trust. If it is Your will, bring us back together in a deeper, healthier love that honors You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in bringing this brokenness before our Heavenly Father, and we are encouraged by your humble heart that seeks His healing and desires a love that honors Him. We lift up you and this loved one together before the Lord, asking Him to do what only He can do in softening hearts and rebuilding what has been hurt.

Scripture reminds us that God is near to the brokenhearted and that He desires reconciliation where there has been division. We are told to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32 and to bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do Colossians 3:13. Love covers a multitude of sins 1 Peter 4:8, and it is love that is patient and is kind, not easily provoked and that bears all things 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

We also hear your prayer to remove pride and replace anger with grace, and that is exactly what God calls us to. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble James 4:6, and we are urged with all lowliness and humility, with patience, to bear with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:2-3. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger Proverbs 15:1, so we pray that your words to one another would be wholesome, let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear Ephesians 4:29.

If this is a romantic relationship, we want to encourage you to seek God's perfect design for such love. We believe courtship should be with the purpose of discerning marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, for we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14, and marriage is to be held as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Matthew 19:6. If there has been any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we lovingly urge repentance, for God calls us to flee sexual immorality and to honor Him with our bodies, and He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse us and to lead us into purity. If this is a marriage, we pray especially for restoration and for steadfast commitment, and if it is a courtship, we pray that you will both seek wise godly counsel and pursue purity and clarity about whether God is leading you toward marriage.

We pray together now for you both.

Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You together and we thank You that You see the pain and the distance and that nothing is impossible with You. We ask You to soften both hearts, to humble us where pride has taken root, and to wash away anger and bitterness with Your grace. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven us, to speak with kindness and truth, and to rebuild trust step by step through honesty and faithfulness. Help us to do what depends on us to live peaceably with all Romans 12:18. If it is Your will, Lord, restore this relationship and make it deeper, healthier, and more Christ centered than before, that it may honor You and reflect Your love. If it is not Your will for this relationship to continue toward marriage, give clear direction and peace and help both to walk in obedience and purity. Fill each heart with Your peace that passes understanding and guide every conversation. We trust Your perfect will and Your perfect timing. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray and to seek the Lord together in His Word, to invite trusted pastoral counsel, and to keep pursuing forgiveness and humility daily. God is able to heal and to restore, and even when restoration looks different than we expect, His love remains faithful to lead us into what is best.

We are praying with you in this painful distance. Wanting pride and anger to give way to grace, and trust to be rebuilt, is a good and humble desire before the Lord, and we hear how much you care about honoring Him in how you love each other.

One thing we have found helpful to remember is that forgiveness and rebuilding trust do not always move at the same speed. Forgiveness can begin as a quiet decision to release the need to get even and to treat the other as valuable again, even while hurt feelings are still healing. The softer feelings of peace and compassion often come more slowly, as you both have small positive moments together. And reconciliation, coming back together in a deeper way, takes an active commitment from both of you to restore love and trustworthiness over time. It cannot be rushed.

If it would help this week, you might each take time alone with the Lord to ask Him to show you your own part to own, and then set aside one calm, unhurried time to listen to each other without defending or correcting, just to understand. If you have a trusted pastor or counselor you both respect, inviting them to walk with you can also give you a steady place to practice speaking with kindness.

Father, we lift this marriage to You. Soften both hearts where they have grown hard, quiet pride and anger, and teach them how to forgive and speak kindly to one another. Give them wisdom to know next steps and courage to take them, and lead them in Your will for their future together. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

There is forgiveness with God, and you have done well to bring your brokenness before Him rather than carrying it alone. He sees the pain and the distance of which you speak, and there is no heart so hard and no breach so wide that His grace cannot reach it when we come penitently to Him through Jesus Christ.

You ask for softened hearts and for pride and anger to be replaced with grace. That is a right and needful prayer, for we ourselves have first needed the very forgiveness we are called to give. Hear the word of the Lord, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. There is forgiveness with Him, not a partial pardon with buts and reservations, as we are prone to offer one another when we say we forgive but will never trust again. When God forgives for Christ's sake He makes a clean breast of it. He forgives completely and eternally, and He continues daily to forgive those who put their trust in the atoning sacrifice. If you have put your trust in Christ, God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you, and that forgiveness is full and irreversible.

It is upon that pattern you are now called to act. Even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. This is the rule set before us. As you have been forgiven much, you are to forgive freely, to speak with kindness, and to walk in truth. Forgiveness made easy by the cross does not mean trust is rebuilt in a moment. Trust is restored slowly, by truthful speech, by forsaking pride, by keeping covenant faithfully, and by submission to the Lord in all things. Do not make a saviour of your feelings, nor trust to inward griefs or to a blaze of joy to prove that you are right with God or with one another. Trust Christ Himself, and trust Him at once with your soul and with this sorrow, and He will teach you to love as you ought.

You pray that if it be His will you may be brought back together in a deeper and healthier love that honors Him. That condition is wise and necessary, for no love truly honors God unless it is shaped by His Word. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and every relationship that would honor Him must be brought under His lordship and conformed to His holy design. If this is a love that looks toward marriage, remember that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all that belongs to it is to be kept within it in purity and faithfulness. If it be another bond, still let it be marked by holiness, honesty, and self denying grace. Do not ask God to bless what His Word does not bless, but ask Him to make both hearts obedient to Christ, that whatever restoration He gives may be clean and true before Him.

May the Lord therefore work in you both according to His mercy. May He humble pride, subdue anger, grant repentance where repentance is needed, and teach you to forgive even as you have been forgiven. May He give you wisdom to speak the truth in love, patience to rebuild what has been broken, and contentment to accept His will if His answer is not what you now desire. Above all, may you each know for yourselves that there is forgiveness with God through the blood of Jesus, and finding that, may you live in its power day by day.

We will pray that He who heals the brokenhearted will be your healer and your guide, and that His name alone will have the glory for whatever He is pleased to do. In Jesus name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Topic Automatically Translated From English Language:

Thank you for bringing this pain and distance before the Lord so honestly. God does see the brokenness between you and this other person, and it is right to bring what feels impossible to Him for healing.

Scripture teaches that the way we approach God about our relationships begins with looking honestly at our own hearts. The best path is to avoid sin, and the next is to feel where we have sinned and to turn from it with a real desire to change. It helps to name our offenses before God in particular, not in vague terms, so that we can understand how great His forgiveness is and become truly grateful for it. As you pray for softened hearts and for pride and anger to be replaced with grace, ask the Lord to show you clearly where you need to confess and where you need to extend forgiveness.

You have asked to learn how to forgive, to speak with kindness, and to rebuild trust. That is the gentleness God wants to train in us. We are taught to have a human soul, to be gentle as we have been shown mercy. Remember how much we have been forgiven through Jesus Christ alone. The servant who owed a great debt asked only for more time, yet his master was moved with compassion and forgave the whole debt. When we understand that we have received such complete forgiveness, we are freed and also called to be patient and merciful toward others, not holding their trespass against them if we hope to be forgiven ourselves. That forgiveness does not ignore what was wrong, but it releases bitterness and makes room for grace in our speech and actions.

Rebuilding trust also takes time, truth, and consistency. Kind and truthful words, a willingness to listen, and steady faithfulness in small things are part of learning to walk in a new way together.

As you pray about whether God will bring you back together, keep His will and His design at the center. God is not moved simply by the history of a relationship or by our strong feelings for someone, but by hearts that seek to do His will. His good design is that love that honors Him, including romantic love and living together, belongs within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, lived in purity and faithfulness. Any deeper and healthier love worth praying for must be one that honors Him in that way. So it is right to pray, not only for closeness, but for holiness for both of you, whether that means reconciliation in a way that honors God, or healing and peace while walking separate paths if that is His wise will.

I will pray with you:

Heavenly Father, thank You that forgiveness and new life come through Jesus Christ alone. We bring this broken relationship to You and ask You to work in both hearts. Show each person where they have sinned and lead them to confess it plainly and to turn from it. Soften what is hard, remove pride, and replace anger with grace. Teach them to forgive as they have been forgiven, to speak with kindness and truth, and to act with gentleness. Grant wisdom to know what rebuilding trust would require, and give godly counsel to help them. If it is Your will, restore this relationship in a way that is healthier and that honors You according to Your design for love and marriage. If not, bring healing, wholeness, and peace to each one as they seek to follow You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in His Word, in prayer, and with wise and faithful counsel in your local church as you take next steps.
