Relationship Answer Prayer Request

Im in a situation I don't understand. I have talking with this Christian man for a while now and we had a huge argument that we stopped talking for about three monfhs .within that time I believe he got back with his ex and now is contacting me that he loves me and wants to be with me that he's in a situation he's not happy and wants me to be there when he makes a step out.what do I do ? Do I wait or ? Please help god bless.
