Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this deep concern about your colon and your desire for complete healing and restoration. I have prayed for you, asking the Lord to touch your body and bring His healing and peace to you.
Scripture shows us that Jesus has power over sickness and infirmity. Matthew connects the ministry of Jesus to the promise in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. When Jesus walked among people He healed the leper, He healed the servant of the centurion, He healed Peter's mother in law, and evening after evening crowds of sick and afflicted people were brought to Him. He showed His authority to restore what sin and the brokenness of this world have damaged, and that same compassion and power belong to Him today.
The Bible also shows that healing happens in different ways. There is one account where a blind man was not healed all at once, but in stages, with a partial restoration of sight at first and then full clarity when Jesus touched him again. It is the only recorded gradual healing in His ministry, and it reminds us that God sometimes works instantly and sometimes works step by step. Much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some are healed quickly and others are not, but we believe healing is real and that God still heals today.
Any true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through a process. God created our bodies with processes for recovery, and those natural processes are themselves divine because He is the one who made them. At times His healing touches the body directly, and at other times He brings healing to the mind and heart, lifting fear and bringing peace while the body is being restored. Both are His work.
We also learn from Scripture not to assume that healing is guaranteed in every case in the exact way we ask, or to blame a lack of healing on personal failure. The apostle Paul prayed three times for his own thorn in the flesh to be removed, and the Lord's answer was not removal but sustaining grace. Good people still suffer sickness, and it does not mean God is punishing them or that they lack faith. It is wrong to place that burden on someone who is suffering.
So I pray for you in the name of Jesus, asking that God would bring complete healing to your colon, that inflammation, infection, disease and every harmful condition would be cleansed and restored, and that your body would be renewed in health. I pray that whatever testing you undergo, whether colonoscopy, scan or other examination, would show a healthy and restored colon, and that you would have clear evidence of His restoring work. I also pray that He would guide your doctors with wisdom, give you peace that guards your heart and mind, and strengthen your faith as you trust Him day by day. If His healing comes gradually, may you see His hand in each step, and may you know His presence and comfort throughout.
We will continue to pray for you, asking for the Lord's mercy, restoration and wholeness according to His perfect will.
