Beloved of All
The pain of being turned away from a Bible study group cuts deeply, especially when you are already carrying so much alone as a mother. It is understandable that your spirit and heart feel hurt. Rejection from people who are supposed to show the love of Jesus can leave a wound that feels very personal, but please hear that this does not mean God has rejected you or your son.
Scripture shows us what God intended His people to be. In the book of Acts we see the early believers living as a true family, sharing life together, caring for one another, and welcoming those the Lord was adding to their number. That is the picture of community God desires, a family built on love. The history of the church, however, has often failed to live up to that picture. There has been hypocrisy and lack of love, and that failure has caused many to be hurt or pushed aside. When love is missing, the presence of the Spirit is not reflected as it should be. Your experience reflects that human failure, not God's heart toward you.
Jesus Himself redefined family when He said that whoever does the will of His Father is His mother and brother and sister. God sets the lonely in families, and His family is not limited to blood relationships. He builds His body in love, with unity and care, so that each person is supported and built up. That is the kind of community He wants for you and your son, people of good reputation and genuine kindness who will treat you with mercy instead of judgment.
I am praying for you and your son now.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up this mother and her son to You. You see their loneliness and You know the hurt of this rejection. Comfort their hearts and heal what has been wounded. Forgive those who judged instead of showing mercy, and touch the hearts of others to show them kindness. Lord, send the right people into their lives, faithful helpers and true community who will walk with them like family, encourage them, and help them rebuild. Provide divine appointments and interventions that only You can arrange.
I ask that You bring peace and joy into their home this holiday season. After difficult years, give them a season full of closeness, love, laughter and good memories together, just the two of them with You at the center. Provide for their practical needs. Give her strength and clarity in her classes, help her to do well, and keep a roof over their heads. You are the One who adds and multiplies and builds up Your people, so build them up in love and let them know they are seen, valued and not alone.
May the Lord surround you with His presence, supply all you need, and lead you to a loving, Christ centered fellowship where you and your son are welcomed and cared for.
