A ### father of five was left paralyzed from the neck down after diving into the ocean to help a young child caught in a rip current, his family told ###. ###'s ### reports..

We lift up this courageous father before the throne of grace, thanking God for his selfless act of bravery in saving a child from the waters. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" We believe that nothing is impossible for You, and we stand on Your promise of healing and restoration.

Lord, we ask that You touch this father’s body, from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. We rebuke the paralysis that has taken hold and command every nerve, muscle, and cell to align with Your perfect will. We speak life and mobility back into his limbs, just as Jesus spoke to the paralyzed man in Mark 2:11-12, saying, "I tell you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." And immediately, the man arose and walked. Let this same miracle unfold in this father’s life, Lord. Let him rise, walk, and return to his family whole and restored.

We also pray for his family, Father. Strengthen them emotionally and spiritually as they walk this difficult journey. Remind them of Your faithfulness and provision, as You promise in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, Lord, and give them peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, we also ask that You would use this situation for Your glory. Let this father’s testimony of faith and healing be a light to others, drawing them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. May his story be a testament to Your power and love, so that many may come to know You as Lord and Savior.

We pray all of this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the One who heals, restores, and saves. Amen.

We were so touched to read about this father and what he did to save that child. What courage and love, and we can only imagine how heavy these days feel for him, his wife and their five children as they face such a sudden and life changing injury.

We are holding him and his whole family in prayer with you, asking God for mercy, comfort and strength for each day ahead. We pray for wisdom and steady hands for the doctors, nurses and therapists caring for him, and for peace for his family as they walk through so much uncertainty together.

If you are close to the family, a simple and practical way to help is to stay connected and offer steady support for the long haul, whether that is meals, help with the children, or just letting them know they are not forgotten. And we encourage continuing to lean closely on his medical team for guidance and care, alongside prayer.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this father to You. You see his courage and You see his family's need. Please surround them with Your presence, ease their fear, provide for them, and guide every decision for his care according to Your will. Give them strength for today and hope for tomorrow. Amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and our hearts are greatly moved by the courage of this father who risked his own body to rescue a child from the sea. Such self denial, to lay down strength for the sake of another, bears a faint image of Him who laid down His life for us, and we give thanks that the child was spared.

We are taught in Scripture that healing virtue is found in Christ alone. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The prophet tells us the Sun of Righteousness shall rise with healing in His wings, and when our Lord walked among men healing and pardon were placed in happy conjunction. He said to the man sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and then He bade him rise. So we are reminded that while we earnestly seek the healing of the body, the first and deepest healing is that of the soul through forgiveness in His blood.

We do not know what the Lord's will may be concerning this dear father, whether He will be pleased to lift him up again as He lifted Peter's wife's mother by taking her by the hand, or whether He will sustain him in affliction till that perfect day when He shall heal all our diseases and make us without spot or wrinkle. But we know that power to heal is present with Jesus, and that He is full of compassion toward those who suffer.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, our heavenly Physician, look in mercy upon this father of five who now lies paralyzed from the neck down. Thou seest him and his household in this great trial. We beseech Thee, lay Thy hand upon him according to Thy wisdom and love. If it be Thy will, restore to him mobility and strength, that he may again rise and walk and minister to his family. Grant skill to those who care for him, patience and comfort to his wife and children, and provision for every need.

Above all, we pray that Thou wouldst give to him and to all his house that healing which is deepest, the forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ Thy Son. Let him know that Jesus bears with Him power to heal both soul and body, and may he feel the healing virtue of Christ infused into him. Sustain his spirit, keep him from despair, and let Thy grace work health and cure within, till in Thy perfect time Thou shalt perfectly heal both body and soul.

We ask this not because we are worthy, but for the sake of Jesus Christ, in whose name we trust for pardon and for healing. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing this father and his family before the Lord.

We have been moved by his courage in diving into the water to save a child at great cost to himself, and we grieve with his wife, his five children and all who love him in this deep affliction of being paralyzed from the neck down. Such suffering weighs heavily on the body and on the soul, and it is right to cry out to God for mercy.

Scripture shows us Christ as the true physician who has power to loose what is bound and to make whole what is broken. When He healed the paralytic He showed that He cares both for the body and for the soul, and that He is able to restore where human strength cannot. At the same time we learn that God in His wisdom sometimes allows the body to be tried so that the soul may be healed and drawn closer to Him, like a physician who uses even painful treatment to bring health. We do not claim to know all His purposes, but we know His character, that He is compassionate, that He hears those who call on Him, and that He works for the good of those who love Him both in this life and in the life to come. The same Lord who braced the limbs of the paralytic is the Lord who promises resurrection and full restoration, and every healing we see now is a sign of that greater hope.

So we pray with you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father.

Father God, in Jesus name we lift up this father to You. Have mercy on him and on his family. Lay Your healing hand upon him according to Your will, and if it pleases You, restore his mobility. Ease his pain, guard him from despair, and grant wisdom and skill to those who care for him. Provide for his wife and children, surround them with Your peace that passes understanding, and strengthen their faith through this trial. Use this time to draw each of them closer to Christ, to keep them from sin and to deepen their trust in You. Let this act of love in saving a child be met with Your sustaining love now, and let Your name be glorified in his life whether through healing or through patient endurance. Amen.

We will continue to remember him and his family in prayer, asking the Lord to grant comfort, provision and hope day by day, and we encourage you to keep praying and trusting in the goodness of God who never abandons His own.

I was deeply moved to hear of this father's courage and the heavy cost that followed, diving into dangerous water to save a child and now living paralyzed from the neck down. Thank you for bringing him and his family before the Lord. It is right to pray for him and to ask God for mercy and restoration in Jesus name.

Scripture shows us that Jesus has power over sickness and infirmity and that He bore our sicknesses and infirmities, as Matthew relates the prophecy from Isaiah that He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. We see Him healing every kind of disease, calming the wind and sea, and having authority in the spiritual realm as well. He is able to heal, and we should ask Him with confidence and faith.

At the same time the Bible keeps us honest about what we do not understand. There is much about healing that remains a mystery to us. We do not know why some are healed quickly and others are not, and to assume that God wills physical healing in every case in exactly the way we ask is not supported by Scripture. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to depart and the Lord answered with grace sufficient for the need rather than removal of the affliction.

We also see in Scripture that healing does not always come instantly. There is one recorded miracle where a blind man first saw men as trees walking and only after Jesus touched him again did he see clearly. That reminds us that God sometimes works gradually. I believe strongly that God heals today, and that gradual healing is no less divine than instant healing. The slow processes of recovery that God has built into our bodies, the skill of doctors and therapists, the daily steps of rehabilitation, all of these are part of the way God has established healing in creation. Nature itself is His creation, and the processes of nature are His processes. So we can pray for a touch that is immediate, and we can also trust Him to work through time and through every legitimate means of care.

Faith matters, and often God gives us a point of contact to release our faith to Him, whether it was touching the hem of His garment or simply calling on His name. Your prayer in Jesus name is that point of contact, an act of trust that He hears and that He cares.

There is another truth that Jesus taught when He healed a paralyzed man. Before He told the man to rise and walk, He said your sins are forgiven. That was not to say that every paralysis is caused by personal sin, for good people suffer illness and injury in a fallen world, but it was to show what is most important. More important than the restoration of mobility is the healing of the soul, forgiveness and peace with God through Jesus Christ. God is in the business of restoration in the deepest sense, and even when physical healing tarries, He can bring profound healing to the heart and mind, comfort in distress, and strength for each day.

So let us pray together for this father of five. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this man to You. You saw his selfless act to rescue a child from the sea. You know his body, his injury, his family who loves him and depends on him. We ask for Your mercy. If it is Your will, we ask You to restore mobility to him, whether by Your immediate touch or by Your hand working gradually through medical care, therapy, and the healing processes You have placed within the body. Give wisdom to those caring for him, endurance to his family, and provision for every need. Above all, draw him and his household close to Yourself, assure him of forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus, and let Your peace guard their hearts even in this hard valley. We do not claim to know all of Your ways, but we trust Your goodness and Your power, and we leave him in Your loving hands. Amen.

Please continue to bring him before the Lord, to encourage his family, and to trust that whether healing comes suddenly or step by step, or whether God sustains him with grace through ongoing weakness, the Lord is present and able to bring wholeness in the way that is best.
