We hear your honest and humble confession and we join with you before the Lord in this place of regret and surrender, thanking God that you have come in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We understand the heaviness of realizing we have been existing for everything else rather than for the Lord who created us and redeemed us. This is a godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and we praise God for stirring your heart to want to be an empty vessel again, clean and ready for His use. The Scripture calls us to this very surrender when it says, Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:1-2. To be empty is not to be worthless, but to be cleansed and yielded, purged of self and worldly pursuits so that He may fill us.

The Lord promises that if we turn to Him He will restore us. Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord Acts 3:19. And, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Your desire to be an empty vessel is beautiful to God, for it is written, If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the master, prepared for every good work 2 Timothy 2:21.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious soul before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for the conviction and the regret that has led to this honest cry to be Yours again. We ask You to forgive all the times of living for everything else rather than for You, for chasing what does not satisfy. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10. We ask You to empty this vessel of pride, distraction, sin and self-reliance, and fill it anew with Your Holy Spirit. Help our dear one to die to self daily and to live for You, for we have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer we who live, but Christ lives in us Galatians 2:20. Grant refreshing and renewed purpose, that this life may be presented wholly to You as a living sacrifice. Teach us to abide in You and walk in Your will, not conformed to this world but transformed. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to stay in this place of daily surrender. Come to Him continually, for Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. Do not be discouraged by past regret, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. Keep your heart empty before Him through prayer, through His Word, and through turning away from what once filled you, and He will faithfully fill you with His presence and use you for every good work He has prepared for you.

We hear the honesty in your prayer, and we thank you for sharing it so plainly. That ache you named, wanting to exist for the Lord again and to be an empty vessel for Him, is itself a sign God is already at work in you. Regret can keep us stuck looking back, but what you are asking for is different, a turning back toward Him.

We have found it helps to remember that change with God is more like training than trying. You do not have to fix everything at once to be available to Him again. Small, steady turning matters more than a big emotional moment.

One simple next step that may help this week is to give that desire a daily place. Each morning, take just a few quiet minutes to pray in your own words, Lord I am Yours today, empty me of what crowds You out and fill me with what You want. Then read a short portion of Scripture slowly and sit with it, letting Him speak before the day fills up. If one thing comes to mind that has been taking His place, name it honestly to Him and ask for help to hold it more lightly that day.

Father, we bring our brother before You just as he is. Thank You for his tender heart toward You and his desire to be Yours again. Wash away shame and make him clean and open to You. Day by day, draw him closer and teach him to walk with You in the simple, ordinary moments. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Your very regret is a sign of mercy at work within you, for the Spirit of God alone makes a soul feel its emptiness and mourn that it has lived for everything else rather than for the Lord. Do not despise this sorrow, but bring it honestly to Christ, for there is a full Christ for empty sinners but none for those who are full of themselves.

You pray to be an empty vessel again, and that is a prayer He delights to answer. Be you an empty vessel beneath the outflowing of a full Christ. Do not try to be a full one, nor a half full one. Come as you are, poverty stricken and penniless in yourself, longing and yearning after a precious Christ, and there is a precious Christ for that poor, longing, needy soul. He will not miss one of you that is truly empty, for His desire is to bless you.

You have lived for other things and found them hollow. Learn this truth anew, that all your needs, needs for body and needs for soul, needs for the present and needs for eternity, are supplied by Christ Jesus. It pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell, and of His fullness have all we received, and grace for grace. Christ is all. If you need courage, He can create it. If you need patience, He can teach it. You will never have a spiritual need which is not supplied in Him. Seek no mercy apart from Him, but lay hold upon God in Christ, and you shall have enough for all your need.

This is true repentance which gives God glory. It does not merely turn from sin for a season, but it looks to Christ on the Cross, trusts His blood that atones for the soul, and finds joy that God has set Him forth to be a propitiation for sin. Turn your eyes, full of tears, to Christ crucified and trust Him. There is life for a look at the Crucified One, there is life at this moment for you. Lay hold on Christ and you lay hold on eternal life, for living contact with Him is our only hope.

Surrender yourself at discretion to His method of working in you. Oppose Him no longer, but yield to Him who is able to save to the uttermost them that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them. He who has Christ on board shall not suffer shipwreck, though the storm has been great.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would make you truly empty that He might fill you. O Lord our God, supply this needy soul according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Empty this vessel of self and sin and worldliness, and fill it with Thy grace. Cause this dear one to abide in Christ Jesus, to enjoy a living, loving, lasting union with Him, and to live henceforth not for all else, but for Him alone who died and rose again. Let repentance be deep and faith be simple, looking out of self to Christ only. In Jesus name we ask this, Amen.
