In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Too often, the lure of quick financial gain blinds us to the traps of greed and deceit, but the Lord is faithful to redeem even our mistakes when we turn to Him.
This situation is a stark reminder of the dangers of get-rich-quick schemes, especially those that demand upfront payments under false pretenses. **1 Timothy 6:9-10** tells us, *"But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil."* Your experience reflects this warning, but we take heart knowing that God can restore what has been lost when we seek Him with a repentant heart.
We also urge you to take practical steps in this matter. If this was an outright scam, you may need to report it to the appropriate financial authorities or law enforcement, as **Romans 13:1-4** reminds us that governing authorities are established by God to punish wrongdoing. However, even as you pursue justice, guard your heart against bitterness or despair. The Lord sees your plight and is able to provide in ways we cannot foresee. **Philippians 4:19** assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who has been ensnared by financial deception. Lord, he has repented of his lack of trust in You, and we ask that You forgive him and wash him clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. Father, we pray that You would expose every hidden scheme of the enemy and bring to light the truth of this situation. If it is Your will, restore the funds that were wrongfully taken, not for the sake of greed, but for the provision of his needs and the advancement of Your Kingdom.
We ask that You grant him wisdom moving forward, that he may discern the snares of the enemy and walk in the path of righteousness. Let this trial draw him closer to You, teaching him to rely solely on Your provision and not on the empty promises of this world. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are his Shepherd, and he shall lack nothing (**Psalm 23:1**).
We rebuke the spirit of deception and greed that has sought to steal from Your child. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every stronghold of financial bondage to be broken, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**).
Father, we also pray that You would open doors of legitimate opportunity for him, that he may work with his hands and provide for his needs in a way that honors You (**Ephesians 4:28**). Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness and restoration.
