The blood of Jesus Christ is the sole ransom for sin, the only power that breaks every chain and frustrates every device of the Evil One. You cry out for deliverance, and it is well that you have named that precious blood, for without it there is no redemption. But take heed lest you give too much credit to the darkness. Satan is a defeated foe; he acts only as far as God permits, and no black magic, no whispered curse, no evil energy can touch those whom the Lord keeps under the shadow of His wings. You speak of being turned to gold, of walls and stones, of scouts and spies, these are distractions to make you look at the enemy instead of the Victor. The victory is already won. Christ has redeemed us from the curse, being made a curse for us. All the wrath due to sin fell upon Him at Calvary. If you are in Christ, the curse is removed far from you, and the wicked one cannot lay a finger upon you without the Father’s leave.
The deliverance you seek for your household, your offspring, your mother, and even your pets, is a right desire, for we are to pray for all matters that concern us. Yet remember: our God is a God of order, not of panic. He brings forth His people with joy, but He does it in His own wise time. Your plea for urgent communication and visitation reveals an anxious heart, but the Lord often tests our faith by silence and distance to draw us nearer to Himself. I have known souls who trembled at the brook Jabbok, expecting a sword, only to meet a brother’s kiss. Commit your loved ones to Him. He will make their deliverance effectual, whether soon or later, and He will not let them go until His purpose is fulfilled. The clock of mercy strikes when Heaven decrees, not when our flesh demands.
You mention “uncommon favor” with great emphasis. Indeed, every believer possesses uncommon favor, for what can be more unmerited than salvation by grace alone? But this favor is not a guarantee of a smooth path or instant relief; it is the assurance that all things work together for good. When the Lord chastens us sorely, He does it to conform us to the image of His Son. Perhaps this trial is sent to teach you that deliverance is wholly of the Lord, not by your own striving or the binding of supposed evil agents. If you have trusted in the blood of Jesus, you are already delivered from the power of darkness. Do not live as though you were still a captive. Rise and declare the works of the Lord! Your tongue should not be given to rehearsing the enemy’s threats but to magnifying the Redeemer’s triumph.
Let your prayer be transformed into praise. Instead of dwelling on the fear of being stuck or the terror of spies, speak of the ransom that has been found for your soul. Is it not written, “He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son”? Then act as one translated. Walk in peace. Your mom, your offspring, your pets are under the same broad providence; trust the Shepherd’s care for the whole flock. And cease from those dark whisperings about witchcraft games and word curses, such things are the mire of pagan superstition, and a child of God should wash his mind clean with the water of the Word. The curse causeless shall not come. Shut your ears to these tales, and open your mouth to sing of the deliverance that is already yours by the cross.
Go now, and let your conduct declare that you believe in that finished work. Say with the Psalmist, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Let your family see a quiet and confident spirit. If the Lord has granted you any measure of peace, however imperfect, give Him thanks. Speak less of the foe and more of the Friend who sticks closer than a brother. The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance has already been shot; you have but to receive it by faith. Stop looking at the walls and stones; look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Your cry of “woohoo yayzzz it’s overrrrrr” will be true in holy measure when your soul rests entirely in Him.
