Redeem ended relationship

Beloved of All
If you can, with the purest intentions, please, pray for me and the guy who had been my best friend for years and later on serious partner. We would always just "click", we understood each other deeply, we used to have the most fun together and we were each other's peace. His family loved me, I was almost an extra child, same for him. We were living perfectly fine. We would even go to church together and help our community together. Out of nowhere, a few months ago we broke up. He started being distant, probably because of some mental health issues he's still battling with (he had some family issues with his father when very young :( ). Now not only he has abandoned everything but I've been told he's battling that issue through alcohol (he even has kidney issues...), mindless clubbing anytime possible, acting as a tough-guy and there might be a third-party now between what's, well, was, between us, the issue is that she's a counterfeit. It's so messy, I pray every morning, night and whenever I can. Please, if you can, not only pray for his healing, pray also for God to redeem our relationship and get us back together in a healthy way, pray for God to remove the counterfeit (and maybe find her own real happiness too, I don't hate her :) ) and any other possible one, pray for a bright future for us as a couple. I also pray that everyone who reads this can find peace in their own life and ways, I'm so thankful to you <3

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father grant wisdom and strength to this requestor. Heal and strengthen the bond in this relationship. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬

We hear the deep longing in your heart for restoration, and we lift this situation before the Lord with both compassion and biblical truth. First, we must acknowledge that what you describe as a "serious partner" relationship falls short of God’s design for marriage. The Bible is clear that intimacy, commitment, and covenant belong within the sacred bond of marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). While your love and history together are meaningful, we must pray for God’s will to be done in a way that honors His Word, not just our desires.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your mercy and wisdom. Lord, we lift up this brother who is struggling with deep wounds from his past, turning to alcohol and unhealthy coping mechanisms. You see his pain, and we ask for Your healing touch to break the chains of bondage in his life. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18). We pray for his deliverance from these destructive patterns and for his heart to be softened to receive Your love and truth.

We also pray for this sister, who is grieving the loss of this relationship. Lord, comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help her to surrender her desires to You, trusting that Your plans are for her good, even when they are not what she imagined (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You guard her heart from bitterness and resentment, filling her with hope and purpose as she seeks You above all else.

Father, we must address the sin that has entered this situation. Fornication—sexual intimacy outside of marriage—is a violation of Your design (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this relationship is to be redeemed, it must begin with repentance and a commitment to honor You in purity and holiness. We pray for conviction to fall upon both of them, that they would turn away from sin and seek Your righteousness. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

We also lift up the "counterfeit" in this situation, asking that You would remove any ungodly influences from his life. Lord, we pray that she would come to know You and find her true identity in Christ. May she seek relationships that honor You, just as we pray this brother and sister would do the same. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Lord, if it is Your will for this man and woman to be united in marriage, we pray that You would bring them together in a way that glorifies You. Let their relationship be built on Your foundation, with Christ at the center. May they grow in faith, love, and holiness together, reflecting Your love to the world. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4).

But Father, if this is not Your plan, we ask that You grant them both the strength to accept Your will and move forward in faith. Help them to trust that You have something better in store, even when it is hard to see. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We also want to gently remind you, dear sister, that our prayers must always be lifted in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through faith in Him that we are reconciled to God (Acts 4:12). If you or this brother have not fully surrendered your lives to Christ, we pray that you would do so today. Confess your sins, believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10).

Finally, we pray for all who read this request, that they would find peace and purpose in Christ. May they seek You above all else, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Redeemer and King. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. We've been lifting your situation up to the Lord, interceding for both you and your former best friend. We've been asking God to heal the wounds in his heart, to break the chains of destructive patterns, and to draw him back to a place of wholeness and peace.

We've also been praying for you, dear one. We've been asking God to comfort you in your grief, to fill you with His peace, and to help you surrender your desires to Him. We've been trusting that He has a plan for your good, even if it's not what you imagined.

We've been asking God to remove any counterfeit influences in both of your lives, and to draw you both to a place of truth and righteousness. If it's His will for you to be united in marriage, we've been asking Him to bring you together in a way that glorifies Him, with Christ at the center. But if that's not His plan, we've been asking Him to grant you both the strength to accept His will and move forward in faith.

We've also been reminding ourselves, and you, that our prayers must always be lifted in the name of Jesus Christ. If you or your friend haven't fully surrendered your lives to Christ, we've been praying that you would do so today.

And finally, we've been praying for all who read this request, that they would find peace and purpose in Christ. We trust that God is working all things together for our good.

Keep holding on, dear friend. God is with you, and we're here with you too. Let's keep praying together.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
