Disciple of Prayer
Please help me and all my roommates recovery from life controlling issues and habits find freedom in Christ and full life restoration, good health, restored relationships, careers and education paths, and purification from sin and evil with help from the Holy Spirit, truth, and God's grace. Love and forgiveness, we were all in a recovery house and coming out of a life of sin and addiction and incarceration. Help us be free and know Jesus and help our family members and loved ones and friends help us and grow with us through this process.

We lift you and your roommates up in prayer, praising God for the work He is already doing in your lives as you seek freedom and restoration in Christ. The journey from bondage to liberty is one that God is deeply invested in, and His Word assures us that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. As you come out of lives marked by sin, addiction, and incarceration, remember that Jesus did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance (Mark 2:17). Your past does not define you—your identity is now found in Christ, who makes all things new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The path to recovery is not one you walk alone. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, Comforter, and Guide, leading you into all truth (John 16:13). He will empower you to overcome the temptations and strongholds that once controlled your lives. As it is written, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). Cling to this promise, for it is in your weakness that His strength is perfected (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also encourage you to surround yourselves with fellow believers who can walk alongside you in accountability and love. Confess your struggles to one another and pray for each other, *"that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). If there are any among you who have not yet surrendered their lives fully to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. There is no freedom apart from Him. *"Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'"*(John 14:6). Salvation is found in no other name under heaven (Acts 4:12), and it is only through repentance and faith in Him that you can experience true transformation.

For those who have already placed their trust in Christ, we remind you that the old has passed away, and the new has come. Walk in this truth daily. *"Don’t you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). This is your testimony now—you are cleansed, holy, and made right with God.

As for your families, loved ones, and friends, we pray that God softens their hearts to support and grow with you in this process. It can be difficult for those who have not experienced the same struggles to fully understand, but we trust that God will give them compassion and wisdom. *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1). Extend grace to them as you seek grace for yourselves, and pray that they, too, come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ.

We also pray for your careers and education. God has a purpose for each of you, and He will open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Seek His will above all else, and trust that He will provide as you walk in obedience. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5).

Lastly, we urge you to immerse yourselves in the Word of God daily. It is your sword and your shield (Ephesians 6:17), the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Let it renew your minds and transform your hearts (Romans 12:2). And never underestimate the power of prayer—pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), for it is your lifeline to the Father.

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You are doing in the lives of Your children who seek freedom and restoration. Lord, You are the God of redemption, the One who turns ashes into beauty and mourning into joy. We ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon them and their roommates, filling them with Your truth, grace, and power. Break every chain of addiction, sin, and bondage that has held them captive, and set them free to live abundantly in You.

Father, we pray for their health—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Heal their bodies, renew their minds, and strengthen their spirits. Restore their relationships, Lord, and bring reconciliation where there has been brokenness. Give them wisdom as they pursue careers and education, and open doors of opportunity that align with Your perfect will.

We lift up their families, loved ones, and friends to You. Soften hearts, Lord, and draw them into a deeper understanding of Your love and grace. Use this season to unite them in purpose and faith, that they may grow together in Christ.

Lord, we rebuke the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You surround them with Your angels, protecting them from temptation and evil. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in purity, victory, and the fullness of life You have promised.

Father, we thank You for the blood of Jesus, which cleanses them from all sin. May they walk in the freedom He purchased for them, and may their lives be a testament to Your transforming power. Let them know, beyond any doubt, that they are loved, forgiven, and called by Your name.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We join you in prayer, dear friend, as you and your roommates seek freedom and restoration in Christ. We're reminded of the scripture, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). He sees your struggles, He knows your pain, and He is right there with you.

We pray that you would find comfort in His embrace, strength in His power, and wisdom in His Word. May you experience His healing touch on your bodies, minds, and spirits. We ask that He would break every chain of addiction, sin, and bondage that has held you captive, and set you free to live abundantly in Him.

We also pray for your families, loved ones, and friends. May they be a source of support and encouragement to you, and may they too come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ. We ask that God would soften their hearts, give them understanding, and draw them closer to Him through this process.

We're also reminded of the importance of community. Surround yourselves with fellow believers who can walk alongside you, hold you accountable, and pray for you. As it says in Romans 12:15, "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." Let's lift each other up in prayer and support.

Lastly, we encourage you to keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep obeying Him. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you, your roommates, and this season of recovery before the Lord. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, interceding for the freedom, restoration, and healing that only Christ can bring—body, soul, and spirit. Your heart for transformation, not just for yourselves but for your families and loved ones, has deeply moved us, and we know it has touched the Father’s heart as well.

As we continue to pray, we are reminded of the promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation—the old has gone, and the new has come. We claim this truth over each of you, declaring that the chains of addiction, sin, and past bondage are being broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask the Lord to flood your recovery home with His peace, unity, and unwavering hope as you all seek Him together. May He open doors for careers, education, and relationships to be restored beyond what you could ask or imagine. And may His grace cover every moment of weakness, every battle against temptation, and every step toward wholeness.

If the Lord has already begun to answer—whether through small victories or sweeping breakthroughs—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can give Him the glory together. If the journey still feels long or the burdens heavy, know that we are here to keep standing with you. You are not forgotten, and your fight is ours in prayer. Post an update whenever you feel led, and we will continue to cry out to Jesus on your behalf, trusting that He who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion.

May you sense His presence in fresh ways today, feeling His love wrap around you like a garment and His truth anchor your hearts. We are believing for a testimony of radical redemption—not just survival, but thriving in the purpose He has for each of you. Keep pressing in, dear siblings. He is faithful. We are with you.

In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name.
