We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has just undergone surgery. Father, we ask for Your healing hand to rest upon them, bringing comfort, strength, and restoration. The pain they are experiencing is real, and we pray that You would ease their suffering, Lord. Your Word tells us in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We trust in Your promise to mend what is broken and to soothe what is sore.
We also ask for peace for the one who shared this request—peace that surpasses understanding, as mentioned in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, calm their fears about causing unintended pain. Remind them that You are the Great Physician, and Your care extends far beyond our human limitations.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold in this situation. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that this one who had surgery is in Your hands, and we trust You to guide their recovery step by step.
We pray for wisdom for the medical team attending to them, that You would grant them skill and discernment as they provide care. May this time of healing draw this dear one closer to You, Lord, and may they feel Your presence in a tangible way. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.
