Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear your heart’s cry for reconciliation and reconnection with ###, and we stand with you in bringing this matter before the Lord. The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:23-24, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." Reconciliation is close to God’s heart, for He desires unity and peace among His children. However, we must also approach this with wisdom and discernment, ensuring that any restoration aligns with His will and His Word.

First, we must examine our own hearts. Have we truly sought the Lord’s guidance in this matter? Have we asked Him to reveal any areas where we may have contributed to the separation, whether through pride, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin? Proverbs 16:18 warns us, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." If there is any unrepentance in our own lives, we must first humble ourselves before God and seek His forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

We must also consider whether this reconciliation is honoring to God. Is ### a believer in Jesus Christ? If so, we can pray for unity in the Spirit, as the Lord desires His children to walk in love and harmony. Ephesians 4:3 urges us, "Being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." However, if ### is not a follower of Christ, we must be cautious. 2 Corinthians 6:14 reminds us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" This does not mean we cannot love or pray for them, but we must guard our hearts and ensure that any relationship we pursue aligns with God’s purposes.

If there has been sin in the relationship, such as fornication, adultery, or any other immorality, we must address it with repentance and seek God’s forgiveness. Hebrews 13:4 declares, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." If the relationship was built on sin, we must surrender it to God and trust Him to restore what is broken in a way that honors Him. This may mean letting go of the past and allowing God to bring healing to both parties individually before any reconciliation can take place.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Talk to a pastor, a mature Christian friend, or a biblical counselor who can help you discern God’s will in this situation. Sometimes, the Lord uses others to speak truth into our lives and guide us toward His best.

Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one who seeks reconciliation with ###. Lord, You are the God of peace, and You desire unity among Your children. We ask that You would soften hearts, remove any bitterness or pride, and create a spirit of humility and forgiveness. Father, if there is any unconfessed sin in this situation, whether in this one’s life or in ###’s, we ask that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore what has been broken.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment. Show this one whether reconciliation is Your will, and if it is, guide them in the steps to take. If there are obstacles, such as unforgiveness, past hurts, or sin, we ask that You would heal those wounds and make a way for restoration. If this relationship is not in alignment with Your Word, we pray that You would give them the strength to let go and trust You with the outcome.

Father, we also pray for ###. If they do not know You, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Soften their heart to receive the gospel and open their eyes to the truth of Jesus Christ. If they are a believer, we pray that You would work in their life to bring about repentance, healing, and a desire for reconciliation.

Lord, we surrender this situation into Your hands. You are the God who makes all things new, and we trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter. Spend time in His Word, listening for His voice and direction. Psalm 32:8 says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you." Trust that God sees your heart and knows your desires, and He will guide you according to His perfect will.

If there are specific sins or obstacles that have contributed to the separation, we urge you to address them with repentance and seek God’s forgiveness. Remember, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). God’s grace is sufficient to cover any sin, and His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth and identity are found in Christ alone. Whether reconciliation happens or not, you are deeply loved by God. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust that God’s plans for you are good, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Continue to seek the Lord, and may He bless you with His peace and guidance as you walk this journey.

it takes a lot of heart to name this longing, to reconcile and reconnect. We don’t know the backstory, but we do know that broken relationships carve a deep ache, and we’re glad you’re not just carrying it alone.

One thing we learn from walking with people is that reconciliation is not the same as forgiveness. You can choose to release someone from the debt of what happened, even quietly in your own heart, and still have the relationship remain estranged. Reconciliation takes two willing hearts, and we can’t control the other person’s readiness or speed. That doesn’t make your desire wrong; it just means the path may take time, and your peace can’t hinge entirely on their response.

So alongside praying for the relationship, it might help to ask God to show you what is yours to carry right now. Are there resentments you might be holding that weigh you down regardless of what they do? Is there some small, wise step you could take, like a letter that doesn’t demand anything back, or simply a season of quiet prayer for them? Sometimes healing begins in our own hearts long before the phone rings or the door opens.

We’re praying with you that walls come down, that understanding grows, and that both of you can find your way back to one another in God’s time. But more than that, we’re praying you experience the steady companionship of Christ right in the middle of the waiting, because He never steps away, even when others do.

Jesus, we lift up this person who aches for reconciliation. You see the split, the hurt, and the hope. Quiet any bitterness or despair, and give wisdom for each small move. Soften hearts on both sides where that is Your will, and give the patience to trust Your timing. Let them sense Your presence as the friend who never leaves. In Your name, amen.

There is forgiveness with God that you might be reconciled to Him, and this is the fountain from which all true reconciliation between souls must flow. “There is forgiveness,” a full, complete, eternal pardon for every sin, and it is stored up with God through Jesus Christ His Son. Seek that first, and then you will find the healing leaves of His grace to mend every breach in your earthly fellowships. The very least thing about Christ has healing power; His forgiving love can soften hard hearts and turn them toward one another.

If you have tasted that the Lord is gracious, then you know how to forgive as you have been forgiven. The command is clear: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. Perhaps the disconnection you mourn is rooted in some offense, real or imagined, and the cure is to be found in mutual forgiveness, a joint-stock business of mercy in which believers should take large shares. Before you seek to reconnect with that soul, make sure your own spirit is cleansed by the Lord’s pardon and filled with His forbearing love.

The promise stands: “They shall be as though I had not cast them aside.” The Lord restores broken things and makes them new. Look to Him, cry for His forgiveness, and then step forward with a heart ready to extend what you have received. You shall find His grace sufficient to heal the wound and bring peace where there has been distance.

True reconciliation begins with the One who reconciled us to Himself through Christ. God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has entrusted to us this message of reconciliation. Before you seek to mend a broken human bond, let your soul first cling to that perfect peace which He purchased with His own blood.

If you have suffered unjustly from another, remember how great a debt you yourself have been forgiven. The Lord taught us to pray, “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.” When we harbor unforgiveness, we shut the door to our own mercy. Yet do not imagine that simply naming the offense is enough; David calls blessed the one whose iniquities are forgiven, but this blessing belongs to the humble heart that confesses its own sins, not to those who boast in their own righteousness like the Pharisee who, even in the temple, struck the rock of pride and suffered shipwreck.

Consider also why this relationship was severed. If it was broken by sin, whether yours or the other’s, reconciliation cannot be a return to what God condemns. The Lord came to save His people from their sins, not in them. He took hold of the seed of Abraham to make reconciliation for the sins of the people, not to leave them in their sins. Any reunion that would draw you back into disobedience is not a blessing but a snare. If instead this is a lawful bond, a marriage, a kinship, a fellowship in the faith, then pursue peace with all humility, knowing that the peacemakers shall be called children of God. But if the other refuses, do not let your hope be consumed by an earthly relationship; a relationship according to the flesh is not sufficient for salvation. Abraham’s true children are those who do the will of the Father.

Therefore, come out from whatever is unclean, and God will receive you. Touch no unclean thing, and He will be a Father to you. Examine your own soul: are you willing to forgive fully? Are you willing to confess any wrong you have done? Then, in the boldness of Christ our High Priest, approach the throne of grace and ask for wisdom. May the Lord grant you, if it pleases Him and accords with His commandments, a holy restoration of that bond, always remembering that your first and everlasting reconciliation is with Him.

The ache of a broken relationship runs deep, and it is natural to long for reconnection. But in these seasons, we must remember a deeper truth: every strained relationship on the human level is often a reflection of a primary one that needs mending. Really at the heart of our problems is our relationship with God. When that connection is fractured or half-hearted, the other bonds in our lives begin to fray. You can always trace the turmoil in your horizontal relationships back to the state of your vertical one.

God is not looking for a distant, legal arrangement with you. He doesn’t want a ritualistic routine where you simply try to avoid breaking a set of rules. He wants a loving, intimate relationship where you know Him as a Father and experience how deeply He loves you. Many people settle for a weak, beggarly experience, trying to find life in broken cisterns that can hold no water, when He is the fountain of living waters. If you are feeling the pain of separation right now, let it drive you first to seek His face. In their affliction, they will seek me early, He said.

A half-hearted, lukewarm connection with the Lord will never produce the fruit you are longing for in your other relationships. If your relationship with God is right, the other relationships just have a way of falling into balance. They begin to work out. But you cannot hope to fix the horizontal relationship with another person if you haven’t first let God correct the vertical one. It’s like trying to rebuild a house without a foundation. The desire for reconciliation is not wrong, but it must be surrendered. Let the Lord heal your relationship with Him first, so that you are truly reconciled to God through Jesus.

Jesus’ body was broken so that you could be made whole. Through His suffering, every separation caused by sin can be healed. Not a bone of Him was broken, yet He bore the full weight of every fractured covenant and every broken promise. Because He was faithful, you have a new and living way into a loving relationship with the Father, not a barren legal bond, but a relationship of the Spirit that brings newness of life. When you are secure in that love, no longer grasping for loopholes or seeing how far you can drift, your countenance and your capacity to love others change. The inward beauty of that communion with Jesus becomes apparent.

Rather than fixing your eyes on the strained bond with this person, let your first cry be, "Heal my relationship with You, Lord." Ask Him to take you from a half-hearted connection into a full-blown, loving one. Forgive the backslidings. When your soul is satisfied in the fountain of living water, you will stop hewing out broken cisterns from other people to quench a thirst only God can satisfy. My prayer for you is that you come into that glorious, loving relationship with Jesus Christ, and that as a natural consequence, like fruit on a healthy branch, the grace to navigate this other situation will flow freely. Seek first the restoration of your first love, and trust Him with the rest.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt request for reconciliation and reconnection with your loved one. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you, lifting this burden before our Heavenly Father, asking Him to soften hearts, open doors, and restore what has been broken. We have prayed earnestly that His peace would reign where there has been division, and that His love would bridge every gap.

If God has moved in this situation—if walls have come down, if conversations have been restored, or if healing has begun—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory together.

If the answer hasn’t come yet, or if the path still feels uncertain, we want you to know we are not stepping away. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God is working even when we cannot see it. Consider posting this request again so we can lift it up afresh, trusting Him for breakthrough in His perfect timing.

May the Lord bless you with patience, hope, and unwavering faith as you seek Him. May He draw near to you in this season and remind you that He is the great Reconciler, the One who restores what was lost. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
