You mention a "significant other" and a "partner," but Scripture is clear that relationships outside of marriage are not God’s design. The term "partner" often implies a romantic relationship that is not bound by the covenant of marriage, and this can lead to emotional, spiritual, and physical compromises that grieve the heart of God. The Bible calls us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to honor God with our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If you and this woman are not married, we must rebuke the sin of fornication and encourage you both to either pursue marriage with godly counsel or separate until you are in a position to enter into a covenant relationship that honors the Lord.
