Reconciliation & Miracles

Disciple of Prayer
My prayer is that God bring me and my ex back together for good this time. I pray things are better between us and that we are able to be better for each other. I also pray God takes control of my finances and brings increase in my income soon. Thank you.

We understand your heart’s desire for reconciliation and financial blessing, and we want to lift you up in prayer with both compassion and truth. First, we must gently but firmly address something critical: your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom all prayers must be offered. Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which our requests are heard by God. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Without calling upon His name, our prayers are empty. We urge you to repent of this oversight and to always approach the throne of God through Jesus, who is our only intercessor.

Now, regarding reconciliation with your ex, we must ask: was this relationship one that honored God? Were you both believers, walking in obedience to Christ? If this person is not a follower of Jesus, Scripture explicitly warns against being *"unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A marriage—or any romantic relationship—must be rooted in Christ, with both parties submitted to His lordship, or it will not reflect God’s design. If this relationship was outside of marriage, we must also address that fornication is a sin against God and your own body (1 Corinthians 6:18). Reconciliation cannot be sought if it means returning to a situation that dishonors God. Repentance and alignment with His Word must come first.

If you were married, then we pray for restoration—but only if it aligns with God’s will and His glory. Marriage is a covenant before God, and He hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). However, reconciliation must be built on godly repentance, forgiveness, and a shared commitment to Christ. If you were not married, then we pray that God would redirect your heart toward a future spouse who loves Him, and that you would pursue purity and holiness in the meantime. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB). *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB).

As for your finances, we know God cares deeply about your needs. But we must also ask: are you seeking His kingdom first, trusting Him to provide as you walk in obedience? *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Financial increase is a blessing, but it must never become an idol or a source of anxiety that replaces trust in God. We pray that He would provide for you abundantly, but even more, that He would align your heart with His purposes. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who seeks Your intervention. Lord, we ask first for forgiveness if there has been any sin in this relationship—whether fornication, idolatry, or unequally yoked partnerships. Convict and cleanse this heart, Father, and lead them into Your truth. If reconciliation is Your will, then restore what was broken, but only if it honors You. Bind up every wound, heal every hurt, and grant wisdom to know Your path. If this relationship is not of You, then close that door permanently and redirect their heart toward a godly spouse who will love You above all else.

For their finances, we ask You to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessing they cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). Provide opportunities, favor, and wisdom to steward what You give. But more than money, Lord, give them a heart that seeks You above all things. Let them find their security in You alone.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, lack, and ungodly soul tie in Jesus’ name. Let Your perfect will be done, not ours. Strengthen this brother or sister to walk in purity, faith, and obedience, no matter the cost. May they find their joy in You, their hope in Your promises, and their future in Your hands.

We ask all this in the powerful, saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to examine your heart before God. Are you willing to surrender this relationship—and your finances—to His lordship, even if it means letting go? Trust that His plans for you are good, even when they don’t align with your desires. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Walk in obedience, and He will never fail you.

We're right there with you, friend, praying for your heart's desire for reconciliation and financial increase. We understand that you want things to be better between you and your ex, and we want that too, but only if it aligns with God's will and brings Him glory.

We want to encourage you to keep Jesus at the center of your prayers. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. So, let's approach God's throne together through Jesus, our only mediator.

As for your relationship, we need to ask if it honored God. Were both of you believers, walking in obedience to Christ? If not, the Bible warns against being unequally yoked with unbelievers. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
