Reconciliation in relationship

Disciple of Prayer
My marriage was fixed next year however my finance left me without any reason after which I'm really depressed and suicidal please pray for ###.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the pain and heartbreak you are experiencing, and we want to lift you up in prayer and truth. First, we must address something critical—your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the hope of reconciliation, healing, and salvation. The Bible declares in **John 14:6**, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*) There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or find true peace (**Acts 4:12**). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. He alone can heal your broken heart and give you eternal hope. Repent of your sins, believe in Him, and invite Him into your heart—this is the first step toward true restoration.

Now, regarding your marriage: we understand the devastation of being abandoned, especially when a wedding was planned. The Bible makes it clear that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and abandonment by an unbelieving spouse is a grievous sin (**1 Corinthians 7:10-16**). However, we must also clarify that if your fiancé left you before the marriage was consummated, you were not yet married in God’s eyes. Engagement is a promise, but marriage is a lifelong covenant sealed by God (**Matthew 19:6**). If there was sexual immorality involved in your relationship before marriage, we urge you to repent, as fornication is a sin against God and your own body (**1 Corinthians 6:18-20**). True reconciliation can only happen when both parties are submitted to Christ and walking in obedience to His Word.

Your feelings of depression and suicidal thoughts are serious, and we want to speak life and truth over you. Satan is a liar and a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (**John 10:10**), but Jesus came to give you life abundantly. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and it is not God’s will for you. The Bible says, *"Don’t you know that you are a temple of God and that God’s Spirit lives in you?"* (**1 Corinthians 3:16**). Your body belongs to Him, and He has a purpose for your life, even in this pain. Instead of giving in to despair, cry out to Jesus. **Psalm 34:18** says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He sees your tears, and He cares deeply for you.

We also want to address any bitterness or unforgiveness in your heart. The Bible commands us to forgive others as Christ has forgiven us (**Colossians 3:13**). Holding onto resentment will only poison your soul and hinder your healing. Pray for your former fiancé—yes, even now. Ask God to soften their heart, to bring them to repentance, and to work in their life for His glory. If they are not a believer, pray for their salvation. If they are, pray for their restoration to faith and obedience. But most importantly, release them to God. Your trust must be in the Lord, not in this person or the hope of reconciliation apart from His will.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (**Psalm 147:3**). Lord Jesus, we ask that You would draw near to this hurting brother/sister right now. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**) and remind them that they are not abandoned—You will never leave them nor forsake them (**Hebrews 13:5**). Father, we rebuke the spirit of depression and suicide that is attacking them. Satan, we command you to flee in the name of Jesus Christ! You have no authority here. Holy Spirit, fill this beloved one with Your comfort and strength. Restore their joy and give them hope for the future.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment. If this relationship was not honoring to You, reveal that to them. If there was sin involved, convict them and lead them to repentance. If this door is closed forever, help them to surrender it to You and trust in Your perfect plan. Father, if it is Your will for reconciliation, we ask that You would soften the heart of this fiancé and bring them back in a way that honors You. But above all, let Your will be done. Prepare this beloved one for the spouse You have for them, if that is Your plan, and let them walk in purity and faith until that day.

We also pray for godly community to surround them—believers who will encourage them, pray with them, and point them to You. Remove any ungodly influences or counsel that would lead them further from Your truth. Father, we ask that You would restore their faith and fill them with Your love. Let them know that their worth is found in You alone, not in another person’s approval or love.

Finally, Lord, we pray for their protection. Guard their mind from harmful thoughts and their heart from bitterness. Let them forgive as You have forgiven them. Give them the strength to move forward in You, one day at a time. We declare that You are their healer, their provider, and their hope. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word and in prayer. Read **Psalm 23**, **Psalm 37**, and **Jeremiah 29:11** to remind yourself of God’s promises. Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find support and discipleship. If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts, please reach out to a trusted pastor or Christian counselor immediately—you are not meant to walk this path alone. God has not forgotten you. He is working all things together for your good, even when it feels impossible (**Romans 8:28**). Stay close to Him, and He will carry you through this storm.

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling your pain and heartache. We're sorry to hear about the sudden departure of your fiancé and the depression and suicidal thoughts that have followed. We want you to know that you're not alone, and we're lifting you up in prayer.

First, we want to remind you that God sees you, He knows your pain, and He cares deeply about what you're going through. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He is near, and He wants to save you from this darkness.

We also want to encourage you to pour out your heart to God in prayer. He can handle your raw emotions and He wants to hear from you. There's a song that says, "Cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) He is a safe place for you to lay down your burdens.

As for your relationship, we understand that it's hard to accept that it's over. But remember, God has a plan for your life, and sometimes that plan involves closed doors. It's okay to grieve the loss of the relationship, but try not to let bitterness take root in your heart. Forgive your fiancé, not because what they did was okay, but because holding onto unforgiveness will only hurt you more.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, to heal your broken heart, and to give you hope for the future. We're also praying for wisdom and discernment as you navigate this difficult time. And we're asking God to surround you with a loving and supportive community of believers.

Please reach out to a trusted pastor or Christian counselor if you're struggling with suicidal thoughts. You don't have to go through this alone. There is help and hope available.

Remember, God loves you. He has not forgotten you. He is working all things together for your good, even when it feels impossible. Stay close to Him, and He will carry you through this storm.

We're here for you, and we're praying for you. If you need someone to talk to, please don't hesitate to reach out. You are loved, and you are not alone.
