We hear your cry and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved, as it is written Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We thank you for your honesty about having backslidden into drugs and sexual sin, and we want to speak to you in love and truth because we care for your soul. You asked that God's grace would be sufficient for you on this road of repentance and indeed it is, for He says 2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. But grace is never a license to continue in sin. The Word says Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be. We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer. And 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. True repentance means turning away from those sins, not continuing in them while hoping grace will cover it.

We must lovingly rebuke what you have confessed, because drugs and sex outside of marriage do not align with God's will for you. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and to use drugs is to defile that temple and to lose sobriety and self control which God requires of us, for 1 Peter 5:8 says Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. And sexual intimacy outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication and if it involves another man's wife or another woman's husband it is adultery, which God calls sin. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that we are not our own, we were bought with a price, therefore we are to glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are His. We urge you to flee from both of these snares completely, to cut off every source and relationship that leads you back into them, and to pursue purity and sobriety as you pursue Christ.

We also hear your burden about continuing to preach while in this condition. We understand the fire you feel to not hold back the Word, but Scripture warns us James 3:1 Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment. To preach while willfully living in unrepentant sin can bring harm to you and to those who hear you and can misrepresent Christ. We encourage you to step back from the pulpit for a season, to humble yourself under godly pastoral authority, to confess to a mature believing pastor or elders, and to seek accountability and discipleship and if needed Christian counsel and help to break the bondage of drugs. This is not to shame you but to restore you, that you may be healed and then minister from a place of wholeness and clean hands.

You speak of vicious attacks and demonic stalking and possible witchcraft and occult activity around you and over the area of ### and ###, ###. We do not take spiritual warfare lightly, for Ephesians 6:12 says For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Yet we do not fear, for 1 John 4:4 says You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. The enemy can only have the foothold we give him through unconfessed sin and open doors. Therefore James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. As you submit fully to God in repentance, close every door to drugs, fornication, pornography, occult influences or media, and put on the whole armor of God Ephesians 6:11, the attacks must flee at the name of Jesus. No witchcraft or curse can stand against the blood of Christ and His authority when you are walking in obedience.

We are praying together for you and for that region.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up our brother to You. Lord, You see his heart, his desire to repent, and the heavy battle he is in. We ask that You grant him godly sorrow that leads to complete repentance, that You forgive him and cleanse him from all unrighteousness as he confesses his sins to You. Break the chains of drug addiction and sexual immorality in his life by the power of the Holy Spirit. Give him strength to flee temptation, for 1 Corinthians 10:13 says You will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that he may be able to endure it. Fill him with Your Spirit so that he walks in sobriety, purity and self control. Surround him with godly men who will hold him accountable, and lead him to a Bible believing church where he can be shepherded and restored. Protect his mind from lies and fear, and let him know that Your grace not only forgives but empowers him to live holy. In Jesus' name we rebuke every demonic assignment, every spirit of addiction and lust, every occult and witchcraft influence that has been operating against him and over ### and ###. We ask that You shine Your light into that area, that strongholds be torn down, that the gospel would go forth with power and that many souls there would be delivered from darkness into Your kingdom. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation and uphold him with a willing spirit, that in Your timing he may again preach Your Word with a clean heart and with power. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to pray without ceasing, to fast as the Lord leads, and to walk in the light. Do not isolate yourself. Confess and forsake these sins today, for Proverbs 28:13 says He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. God has not abandoned you, He is calling you back. If you continue to walk in repentance and obedience, He will be faithful to keep you, to restore you, and to use you again for His glory. We are standing with you in spirit and in prayer until you see complete victory in Christ.

We are grateful you reached out so honestly, , and we have been praying for you. To feel backslidden and still feel compelled to preach, to be fighting old struggles with drugs and sex while feeling attacked from every side, is exhausting. Thank you for naming it plainly and asking for prayer.

What you described about wanting to turn back to the Lord is at the heart of repentance. It is less about feeling sorry in a moment and more about a steady change of direction over time, and that road is rarely walked alone. God's grace meets us on that road, not just at the end of it, and He can give you strength for the next faithful step even when you feel stalked or overwhelmed.

One practical step that helps many in this place is to bring one trusted person into the day to day with you. If you have a pastor or a mature believer you trust near south ### and ###, consider asking him this week to walk with you regularly, for prayer, honesty, and accountability. Trying to fight this in isolation makes the attacks feel louder. If drugs have been part of the struggle, we also encourage you to reach out to a medical or counseling professional for support alongside prayer.

We are also praying for your community, that God's peace and light would be evident there and that many would come to know Him.

Father, we lift ### to You in Jesus' name. Cover him with Your grace as he turns toward You, guard his mind and body, break every hold of sin and darkness, and give him wisdom, steady support, and hope for each next step. Bring Your healing and freedom to his area as well. Amen.

Your cry has come before the people of God and we have heard with sorrow and with hope the confession of a backslidden state entangled with drugs and with sexual sin and beset by the assaults of the enemy. There is a word from the Lord for such a case as yours, and it is this, I will heal their backsliding. Backsliding is treated in Scripture as a disease, and the Lord Himself undertakes to be the Physician. He speaks of His own peculiar people, His own elect ones, and He says, I will heal them. If there is a soul who now sincerely closes in with God's way of salvation and would gladly find deliverance from every sin, such a one may be assured that he is among those of whom God has said, I will heal their backsliding. Do you hate your backsliding? That hatred is itself a sign that the Spirit is at work.

We must entreat you to weigh your repentance in the scales of truth, for there is a carnal repentance that judgment and terror may produce, a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of the fallen nature. It is fallen nature washed and brushed, but allowed to remain fallen nature still. The heart is not renewed, the life is not regenerated, the mind is not changed. Such repentance gives no glory to God and leads to no saving and lasting deliverance from sin. True repentance, that repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, gives God glory. It makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work. It is a repentance unto life, practical and lasting, yielding works meet for repentance and turning from present sin because of the love of God who died for us.

Therefore we do not preach repentance after the manner of Moses, as a mere preparation, but repentance in the name of Jesus, as the gift of God joined to remission of sins. Where there is no true repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is the full and free forgiveness of all sins for the one who has thus sincerely repented. Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart must go together. What is your repentance? Is it one that leads you to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only? For salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other ransom.

You speak of preaching while yet entangled, and of fierce attacks and even occult oppression in ### and ###. We do not make light of the power of darkness, yet we have a far richer theme for song than the overthrow of any earthly enemy. We have been delivered from worse enemies and saved by a greater salvation. Egypt may represent those states of sorrow and oppression into which God's people come, but the deliverance came when the Lamb was slain. Pharaoh could not hold Israel beyond that point. So it is with you. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes undeserved deliverance, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty. God Himself has said, I have found a ransom. That ransom is Christ Jesus. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it. It is a gift of divine love, and when God proclaims it, deliverance is certain. Indeed it is already accomplished for all who look to Him. He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of free grace only.

Know this also, that the Lord calls you not to make peace with sin but to forsake it. The historic and holy way of God is that sex and living together belong only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Drugs that enslave the body and cloud the mind are to be fled from as chains of that same bondage. True repentance will turn from these things, not bless them, and will seek holiness. Repentance lives as long as faith lives. It is not a bitter operation once endured and then forgotten, but sweet company that walks with us all our days, keeping us tender before a holy and gracious God.

We will pray for you, and we do pray now.

O Lord God, who healest backsliding and delightest in mercy, look upon this soul who confesses his wanderings and his bondage. Grant unto him repentance unto life, not a carnal sorrow but that godly repentance which is wrought by Thy Spirit and which gives Thee glory. Give him faith to look out of self to Christ only, to trust in the ransom Thou hast found, the blood of the Lamb slain. Deliver him effectually from the pit, bring him forth as Thou didst bring Israel forth, and let him know that it is Thou who hast done it, of free grace alone. Break the chains of drugs and of sexual sin, cleanse his conscience, renew his heart, and make his repentance practical and lasting, yielding works meet for repentance and a walk in chastity and sobriety before Thee. Guard him from the archers of the enemy, from every assault and every occult snare, and let him find that greater is He that is in him than he that is in the world. We ask also for that region of ### and ###, that Thou wouldst scatter the darkness there, send forth Thy light and Thy truth, and give peace within its borders through the preaching of Christ crucified. Make Thy grace sufficient for him on this road of return, and keep him till the end. In the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our only ransom, we ask it. Amen.
