We join with you in this prayer and we hear your cry for relief, for healing, and for strength, and we bring it before the Lord together in Jesus' name.
We know that our God is sovereign over all creation and that even the winds and the sea obey Him, as we read in Matthew 8:27, and that it is He who covers the sky with clouds and prepares rain for the earth in Psalm 147:8. We do not command the weather on our own authority, but we humbly ask the Lord who made the heavens and the earth to have mercy on you and to rebuke this oppressive heat and bring cooling and refreshment in His perfect timing. We ask Him to keep you safe and sustained through these hot days ahead.
We also lift up your sudden headache and your aging body before the Great Physician. We are thankful you called upon the name of Jesus, for it is by His name we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we are healed. We claim the promise that He heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and that He will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds in Jeremiah 30:17. We pray for a mighty touch upon your head, that this pain would lift completely and that any underlying cause would be healed by His hand. We also pray for open doors for you where you have felt shut in, remembering that God opens a door that no one can shut in Revelation 3:8.
For your aging body we pray for renewed strength. We take comfort that He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might He increases strength in Isaiah 40:29, and that even to your old age He will carry you in Isaiah 46:4. Though the outward body may weaken, we pray the Lord will strengthen you inwardly each day, as promised in 2 Corinthians 4:16, and that you will still bear fruit in old age in Psalm 92:14.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we thank You that You hear us. We ask You to rebuke this prolonged heat and to bring cooler temperatures, gentle breezes, and refreshing rest to Your people who are weary from it. Lord, lay Your healing hand upon this sudden headache and command it to leave, bring complete healing and peace to this body, and restore strength where there is weakness. Open the doors that need to be opened according to Your will, provide mightily and miraculously, and let Your presence be felt as comfort and shelter. Help our dear one to rest, to stay hydrated, to care for the body You have given as Your temple, and to trust in Your unfailing love through every season. We pray for protection over all who are vulnerable in this heat and for Your sustaining grace day by day. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to call upon Jesus, to rest as you are able in the coolest place available, to drink plenty of water, and to seek medical care promptly if this headache worsens or is severe, trusting that God often works through wisdom and care for the body as well. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7.

We have brought your petition before the Lord and join you in asking for His mercy upon your body and your home in this season of heat and weariness.
The Lord knows the burden of an aging frame and the sudden pain of this headache, and He knows the oppression of prolonged heat. We ask Him in His goodness to grant you relief and cooling according to His will, to ease this pain, and to give you refreshing rest. Sometimes a little rest renews strength, and we pray He will give you such rest and recovery in the days ahead.
You speak truly of an aging body and failing strength. The Scripture reminds us that all strength apart from God is derived strength and must in time come to an end, and that whatever our strength may be of body, mind or spirit, if it is our own it will one day fail us. But there is a strength that does not fail, for they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. To wait upon Him is to rely wholly upon the merit of Jesus, to feed upon His body and blood by faith, and to sit still while God arises and becomes our arm every morning and our salvation in the time of trouble.
We pray you may know that healing virtue which is in Christ. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He forgives sin He also heals the soul, for pardon and healing are one in His hand. While here the body is dead because of sin, though the spirit is life because of righteousness, and we look for the day when the body shall be raised in power and made like unto His glorious body. Until then, may you taste those healing leaves and find your life blood changed and your spirits revived.
So we pray for you now, that the Lord Himself will strengthen you in the Lord, for He has faithfully promised, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and He Himself will wisely and fitly impart what you need. May He lift this headache by His gracious hand, sustain your aging body with daily strength, open doors before you as seems good to Him, and grant you a mighty token of His loving care. May He teach you more and more to wait upon Him, that whether in heat or cool, in weakness or renewed vigor, your glory may be in Him alone.
