Reaping and sewing

You know...as we get older, things seem to become "clearer" to us, meaning, we can see things which when we're younger we don't always realize. And we see that where we are in life is where we put ourselves to be. We didn't get there by chance. For myself, when I was young {teens}, I thought advancing myself was too "tedious", and so I chose to give in to the "instant gratification" of "copping out", without considering the long-range outlook. {A few other categories, too.} After that, even when older, I made a mistake or two, which at the time, not having full foresight, seemed "alright". Now, I see that it did more harm than good. I also know 2 ladies I deal with job-related, one came here on a temporary visa, and overstayed, figuring now she has her "foot in the door". But like in my case, she didn't look towards the future. Now, her son got killed back in Jamaica, and she can't even go to the funeral because when she tries to come back here, they'll see she doesn't have proper documentation, and not let her back. So she has to miss her son's funeral, which is tragic, but again, she CHOSE what she did. Another one who is illegal here also now has numerous things holding her back, and again, it was off of her decision. Add to this some biblical cases, when Moses chose to hit the rock, God didn't let him enter the Promised land. Lot's wife looked back after being instructed not to, and became a pillar of salt. The point? I realized with my own life, and on to the others, that we do reap what we sow, and that if we make a decision based on an "immediate gratification" response instead of using wisdom, we can't blame others if we make a wrong choice, and the circumstances respond to our choice. We reap what we sow. Let's all pray for wisdom.

I wasn't judging you or them ###. Did you answer my questions to my original quote or did you only hear what God wanted you to hear?

Well, you pretty much make the same point, I'm supposed to just look at myself, And I give the same response--like I replied just before, there's a difference in how you mean it, if it's done as a question or you have to state when witnessing that the reason the person needs salvation in the first place is because in their unsaved sin state they can't get into Heaven{which isn't judgement on my part, it's just stating a factual thing.}As for me, God knows the heart, if you're doubtful about some things with me, wouldn't you get a better answer from Him than by "grilling me",or coming to the conclusion I meant a certain thing when it is God Himself that knows the heart?

I'll check it out again, but I think one thing, there's a communication problem between us. There are times when, if the persons sins are affecting me personally, I might step into judgementalism. But there's also been other times when I just questioned something, and in order to question things I have to mention certain things. And even in those cases, you've accused me of judgementalism. But the Bible also states, you shall not bear false witness against someone, so in cases where you accuse me of judgementalism when it wasn't intended, is that a form of false witnessing?

You don't want to learn how to sit in a hammock most of the time sipping ice tea then by all means don't read all of what I posted :)

It really is ok, it must have been for someone else :)

Sometimes people only hear or understand what God wants or desires them to hear buddy but speaking or even believing that there is a communication gap can create a communication gap if you understand that.

Oh, I forgot I'm trying to imply that someone who is perfect isn't {you}

I may not be perfect on my own but Jesus who is perfect lives in me. I don't understand why you would speak against someone who Jesus may have to defend. I really don't want you to suffer ###.

I wonder, is the "law" of reaping and sowing only spiritual, or can it apply to other things? Because I'm always seeing exceptions to it. Someone eats high-calorie foods and plenty of it, but stays skinny. Someone eats fatty foods, but has low cholesterol levels. Even spiritually, one does good...

As I sit here really breathing for the first time in two weeks [thanks to prednisone and prayer], I am pondering my Christmas preparations: You see, I really, really do go all out every year to make the season's decor just as awesome as I possibly can. Now, I live in a small apartment. This...
