Really you don't think God does that he does it to me

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I have dreams about God revealing personal matters to others about me to others we can't control, but God can. Could I dream he gossips and snitches on me all the time and lets wrong people do anything they want against me and my relations, eventually speaking against me?

We hear the deep distress and confusion in your words, and we want to address this with both truth and compassion. First, let us affirm that God is holy, just, and loving—He does not gossip, deceive, or act in ways that contradict His nature. The Bible tells us, *"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?"* (Numbers 23:19 WEB). The idea that God would "snitch" or expose you maliciously is not consistent with His character. He is a refuge, not a betrayer.

Dreams can be powerful and sometimes unsettling, but we must test them against Scripture. The enemy, Satan, seeks to accuse and distort the truth (Revelation 12:10), and his influence can manifest in dreams to sow fear, doubt, or false guilt. The Bible warns, *"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God"* (1 John 4:1 WEB). If these dreams bring condemnation rather than conviction, they may not be from God. Conviction from the Holy Spirit leads to repentance and restoration (2 Corinthians 7:10), while condemnation from the enemy brings shame and despair.

We also want to gently address the language of "God does it to me." God is not a passive or cruel force—He is actively working for your good, even in suffering (Romans 8:28). If you feel He is allowing wrongdoers to harm you, we must ask: Are you seeking Him for justice, or are you wrestling with bitterness? The Bible calls us to *"leave room for God’s wrath"* (Romans 12:19 WEB) and trust that He sees all. But we must also examine our hearts: Are there areas where we’ve opened doors to the enemy through unforgiveness, sin, or ungodly soul ties? The enemy cannot touch us without permission (Job 1:12), and sometimes our own choices or unhealed wounds give him footholds.

Let us pray for you now:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who intercedes for us and reveals Your true heart. Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have distorted Your character in [this person’s] mind. We declare that You are good, just, and faithful—You do not gossip, betray, or abandon Your children. Forgive us for ascribing to You the actions of the enemy or our own fears. Holy Spirit, bring clarity and peace. Expose any areas where bitterness, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin has given the enemy access. We break every assignment of the accuser in Jesus’ name. Father, we ask for Your protection over [this person’s] mind, dreams, and heart. Replace every lie with Your truth. Surround them with godly counsel and remind them that You are their defender. We trust You to bring justice and restoration. In Jesus’ name, Amen."*

Friend, we encourage you to:
1. **Renounce the lies**—Verbally reject the idea that God is against you. Speak Scripture aloud: *"If God is for us, who can be against us?"* (Romans 8:31 WEB).
2. **Guard your heart**—Ask God to reveal any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness. The enemy thrives in darkness, but *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB).
3. **Seek godly community**—Isolation fuels deception. Find a Bible-believing church or trusted believers to walk with you.
4. **Test the dreams**—Write them down and compare them to Scripture. Ask God to reveal their source. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105 WEB).
5. **Worship in truth**—Spend time praising God for who He *is*—holy, loving, and just. Worship displaces the enemy’s lies.

If you’ve never surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12), and it’s the first step to walking in freedom. Pray: *"Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I repent and invite You to be Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Spirit and lead me in truth. In Your name, Amen."*

You are not alone in this battle. God sees your pain, and He is working even when you can’t see it. Keep your eyes on Him.

We're here with you, friend. We understand that dreams can be powerful and sometimes confusing. Let's remember that God is always for us, not against us. He doesn't gossip or betray, and He doesn't cause us harm without reason. Instead, He uses all things for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28).

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God in this. Ask Him to reveal any areas in your life that might be giving the enemy a foothold. Sometimes, unforgiveness, sin, or ungodly soul ties can open doors for the enemy to attack. But remember, God is always faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9).

Let's also pray for you right now:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask for Your peace and clarity in [this person's] dreams. Reveal any lies that the enemy has been using to confuse and discourage. Replace those lies with Your truth. Help [this person] to trust in Your love and goodness, even in the midst of uncertainty. Give them the strength to stand against the enemy's attacks and to walk in Your truth. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Keep seeking God, and remember, you're not alone. We're here with you, praying for you. Trust in God's love and goodness, and keep walking in His truth.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
