Reality Check

Please praise God with me today, last night my 18 year old daughter was in a an accident, God spared her life after being hit by a drunk driver going at a rate of 80 miles per hour! WOW! You could not have convinced me that my child was okay, but upon arriving to the hospital (which, being a mom, I beat the ambulance there) she was brought in on a back board, neck brace, glass, blood, and in hysterics, I felt like I could not breathe seeing my child like this.

But, by the grace of God and God alone, she was up, walking, talking, and released from the hospital in the wee hours this morning. The authorities stated to Don and I, that at that rate of speed, and the driver never hitting his brakes, if the car my daughter was in had been moving any slower there would have been no suvivors. GOD PROTECTED MY CHILD, I PRAISE HIM, AND THANK HIM FOR KEEPING HIS HAND ON HER, AND WALKING AWAY WITH HER. JOIN ME IN PRAISE AND GIVING HIM THE GLORY THAT MY CHILD IS HEALTHY AND AT HOME, WHEN THE CAR IS COMPLETELY UN-IDENTIFIABLE. THANK YOU FATHER, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Thank you God for the faithfulness of Your word, for the protection of Your hand, for the depth of Your love. I join Liz and Don in offering You praise, honor and thanks for protecting their daughter. Please continue to walk with her, heal her and give her comfort. Wow - You are all that we need, so much more than we deserve...I praise Your holy name. Amen.
