We hear the deep ache in your heart, the longing for love, for a godly husband, and for a home filled with the warmth of God’s blessings. Your pain is real, and we grieve with you over the brokenness you feel—the shattered dreams, the weariness of waiting, and the sorrow that makes each day feel like a struggle. But we must gently remind you, beloved, that your worth and your hope are not found in earthly desires alone, no matter how good they may be. Your ultimate fulfillment is in Christ, who loves you more deeply than any human ever could. He sees your tears, and He is not indifferent to your suffering.
The desire for marriage is a beautiful and godly one, for the Lord Himself said in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him."* We pray that if it is God’s will, He would bring a godly man into your life—a man who fears the Lord, who will love you as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25), and who will lead you both in righteousness. But we must also remind you that marriage is not the ultimate answer to your brokenness. Only Jesus can mend a shattered heart. Psalm 147:3 tells us, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* If you are placing your hope solely in marriage to fill the void within you, you will find even that relationship lacking, for no human can bear the weight of being your savior—that role belongs to Christ alone.
You also mention weariness, even a desire to leave this world. We must speak truth to you in love: this weariness is not from the Lord. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* The enemy wants you to believe that there is no hope, that your pain will never end, but that is a lie. The Lord has plans for you—plans for good and not for evil, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are entertaining thoughts of giving up, we urge you to cling to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Suicide is not the answer—it is a permanent solution to a temporary struggle, and it breaks the heart of God, who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16). You are precious to Him, and He is not done writing your story.
We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we plead with you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Him, there is no true peace, no lasting joy, and no eternal hope. He is the only One who can satisfy the deepest longings of your soul.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious sister to You, knowing that You see her pain and collect every tear she sheds in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). Lord, her heart is broken, and she longs for the love of a godly husband and a home of her own. We ask that if it is Your will, You would bring a man of God into her life—a man who will cherish her, lead her spiritually, and build a home that honors You. But Father, even more than that, we pray that she would find her ultimate satisfaction in You. Remind her that You are her first love, her comforter, and her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Heal the wounds in her heart that have left her feeling empty and unworthy. Restore her joy and give her a fresh vision of the hope You have for her.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair that has tried to take root in her heart. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give her strength to keep trusting You, even when the wait feels unbearable. Surround her with godly community—women who will encourage her, pray with her, and remind her of Your faithfulness. If she has strayed from You in any way, draw her back with Your lovingkindness. Let her know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, if she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for her. Open her eyes to see Jesus as He truly is—the One who died for her sins and rose again so that she might have eternal life. Let her place her trust in Him alone.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Beloved, hold on to hope. The Lord has not forgotten you. In His perfect timing, He will restore what has been broken. Until then, seek Him with all your heart. Read His Word daily, pray without ceasing, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone—we are standing with you in prayer, and most importantly, Jesus is walking beside you every step of the way. Do not give up. Your story is not over.
