Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing what is on your heart and for allowing us to pray with you. I have lifted you up before the Lord, especially while you have been feeling unwell and dealing with these practical pressures.
I pray that the Lord shows you both grace and mercy in these matters. Grace is His undeserved favor and goodness poured out on us, and mercy is His withholding what we do deserve. In your situation with the car and the delay because of the rain, my prayer is that God grants you that undeserved favor with the dealership and that the managers respond with understanding and a willingness to still help you with the issues at hand. It is right to ask God for favor with others, while trusting Him to work in hearts in a just and honest way.
I also pray for your upcoming dental implant and for the Lord to guide the hands of those caring for you and to bring about a good outcome. We do believe that God heals, and that all healing is from Him, whether it comes instantly or gradually through the natural processes He has built into our bodies. At the same time Scripture shows us that healing is sovereign in His hands and we do not always understand why He heals in some cases and not in others. Even the apostle Paul prayed earnestly and was not healed of his thorn in the flesh, and we are told that God's ways are beyond our finding out. For that reason we can pray with faith and hope for healing without putting guilt or pressure on ourselves if the answer comes differently than we expect, and we can trust His wisdom and love.
I am thankful you have a friend who is alert and standing with you as a witness when you have felt that the work and attitude toward you has been poor. May the Lord use that support to bring clarity and fairness, and may He give you peace as you navigate it.
You mentioned Isaiah 54 verse 17, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. That is a precious assurance that God is your defense and that nothing formed against His people will ultimately prevail over His purpose for them. Even when we face frustrating treatment or difficult circumstances, we can rest in His protection and commit our cause to Him.
Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one before You. You see the illness, the weather related delay, and the concern about the dealership. Grant favor and understanding with those in charge, and provide a fair and helpful resolution. I ask for Your hand upon the dental implant, for wisdom for the providers and for a healthy and complete healing according to Your will. Comfort and strengthen this person with Your grace and mercy, and let Your presence be near through a faithful friend. Guard and keep them under Your care, for You are our refuge and healer. Amen.
