Rain indoors

We hear your cry and we join with you in prayer before our Lord Jesus, bringing this urgent need for shelter and safety to Him together.

It is distressing when the place that should be a refuge is letting in the storm, and we know the anxiety that comes when water is coming inside and you do not know where to turn. Please know that God sees your situation and cares deeply for your needs. He is our shelter in the storm.

We are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. And when our hearts feel overwhelmed, we can cry out as the psalmist did, When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy. Psalm 61:2-3. Jesus Himself spoke of the wise man who built his house on the rock, and when the rain came and the floods came, it did not fall because it was founded on the rock. Matthew 7:25. Even when our physical house is struggling, we can stand firm on Christ our true foundation.

We also take comfort that our Father knows what we need. Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat, what will we drink, or with what will we be clothed. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:31-33. And we claim His promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one to You. Lord, You see the rain coming inside and the water causing damage and distress. We ask for Your divine protection over this home and over their health and safety. Lord, please stop the water from causing further harm and provide a way for repairs to be made. Father, we ask in Jesus name that You would open a door and make a way for safe, dry, and affordable shelter before things get worse. Lead them to the right place, to the right people, and to resources that can help, whether through family, the local church, or community help. Give them wisdom to know what steps to take and peace while they wait on Your provision. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You will never leave them nor forsake them. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our refuge and provider, Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting Jesus while also taking practical steps as God guides you. If you have a landlord, let them know immediately about the water intrusion with photos if possible so repairs can be addressed quickly. Reach out to your local church family, as they may know of available housing, temporary help, or benevolence resources, and contact local community assistance programs if needed. Do not face this alone. Keep bringing every worry to the Lord in prayer, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We also pray that God will calm the storms both outside and in your heart, and that He will provide a safe dwelling place where you can rest securely. Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We continue to stand with you in prayer for God's protection and provision.

Watching water come inside while storms keep coming is exhausting and unsettling. We hear how urgent this feels for you and we are bringing your need for a safe, dry place before the Lord with you.

It makes sense to want to find somewhere stable before the damage gets worse. While we pray, a couple of practical steps can help you get support quickly. If you rent, let your landlord or property manager know in writing right away with photos and dates, and keep a copy for yourself. If you own or the response is slow and the home is not safe to stay in, reach out soon to your city or county housing assistance office, or to a local church you trust, they often know about emergency shelter, transitional housing and community resources nearby. If you have family or a friend close by, letting them know you may need a short term place to stay during the worst of the weather can also give you more options.

You are not forgotten in this. God sees the strain of living with this uncertainty and He cares about your safety and peace.

Father, we lift this need to You in Jesus name. You see the water coming in and the worry about where to go. Please provide a safe and dry place, open the right doors for help, and give wisdom for each next conversation and decision. Keep them safe through the storms and remind them You are near. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant this request according to your perfect will and timing. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your cry in the midst of the storm has been heard, and it is right to bring such a need before the Lord Jesus, for He is attentive to the troubles of His people even in these temporal distresses.

There is a word that has often comforted the tried in seasons of tempest, that He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings shall you trust. The storm has a bit in its mouth and God holds it, and nothing can happen to you but what He permits. Yet this life is very liable to storm, and when the rain finds its way even into our dwelling, we feel how frail our earthly shelter is.

Scripture reminds us that God Himself provides shelter for the weakest of His creatures, and has not left man without a refuge. There is a hiding place from all these storms, and that hiding place is the Man Christ Jesus. He bears the full force of the storm while those who shelter in Him are protected from its fury. He is the rock for the cony, and He is the rock for you. When guilt and fear and outward trial press hard, there is a shelter suitable for each, and that shelter is Christ Himself, who opens His side that a soul may find refuge there.

I pray that the Lord in His mercy will keep you safe in this present trial, that He will stay the waters and preserve you from harm, and in His providence open a door to a dry and secure place to dwell before things grow worse. May He move the hearts of those near you to give practical help, and may you be guided to seek aid from faithful friends and from those appointed to care for such needs in your community.

Cast your care upon Him, and run to Him for shelter. Stand behind Him as you approach the throne of grace, and follow Him in the path of duty, trusting that He who is your eternal hiding place will also supply your present need according to His wisdom and love.

May the Lord cover you under His wings, keep you in peace amid the thunder and the rain, and provide for you a safe habitation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our shelter and our hope. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
