We join with you in bringing your hometown before the Lord, for we share your burden over the division and hurt that racism causes and we seek His will together in Jesus name.
We know that racism is sin, because it denies the truth that every person is made in the image of God. So God created man in his own image. In the image of God he created him Genesis 1:27. He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth Acts 17:26, and God shows no partiality Acts 10:34 and Romans 2:11. To show favoritism or to hate a brother or sister because of skin color or ethnicity is to dishonor our Creator and to break His command to love your neighbor as yourself Leviticus 19:18 and Matthew 22:39. My brothers, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality James 2:1, and My beloved, if a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar 1 John 4:20. In Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, for you are all one in Christ Jesus Galatians 3:28, and He himself is our peace who has broken down the dividing wall Ephesians 2:14. We rebuke the spirit of pride, prejudice, and hatred that would divide your community, and we pray for repentance and reconciliation where hearts have been hardened.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is by trusting in Jesus Christ alone, His death and resurrection for our sins, that our prayers are heard and our own hearts are made new to love as He loves.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this hometown to You. Forgive us where we have harbored prejudice, bitterness, or indifference, and cleanse our hearts. Pour out Your love and humility upon the people there, that they may see each person as You see them, precious and made in Your image. We ask You to bring healing where there has been wounding, honest conversation where there has been misunderstanding, and justice tempered with mercy. Give wisdom to pastors, mayors, teachers, and families to lead with godliness and to pursue peace. Let Your church there be an example of unity, as You have called us to If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18, and to be peacemakers who show the world what redemption looks like. We pray that many would come to know Jesus and be reconciled first to You and then to one another, looking forward to that day when a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages will stand before the throne Revelation 7:9.
We encourage you to remain faithful in prayer and to be a light where God has placed you, speaking the truth in love Ephesians 4:15, showing kindness without partiality, forgiving as Christ forgave you Colossians 3:13, and seeking opportunities to build bridges in your church and community through humble listening, godly fellowship, and acts of love that reflect the gospel. The Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth Psalm 145:18, and He will honor your intercession.

Beloved of All
Your burden for your hometown has been brought before the Lord, and we join you in seeking His healing and reconciling grace upon it.
We are reminded that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When nations are wounded by enmity and division, and when individuals in every nation need healing, we must look to that great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.
The Scripture tells us that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. He is the God of Peace and He has prepared everything that is necessary for a perfect reconciliation. Our prayer is that this word of reconciliation would be heard and felt in your town, that hearts would be brought to peace with God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, for only when men are reconciled to God can they be truly reconciled to one another.
We also pray that the Lord would promote among you that true unity which is the unity of the Spirit. This is not a unity in error or a mere outward conformity, but a unity in the Truth of God through the Spirit of God. Divisions never begin with those full of love to the Savior, and as each heart is made more holy and prepared by the work of Christ, the unity which God has established will be more clearly seen. May He chase out of every heart everything which would break that unity.
Let us pray together. O Lord, Sun of Righteousness, rise upon this community with healing in Your wings. Forgive sin and heal disease, for with You pardon and healing are one. Pour out Your Spirit upon that place, that men may hear the Gospel and live near to Christ, loving one another as those made in Your image and redeemed by one blood. Turn hearts from pride and hatred, and knit them together in holy love, to the glory of Your name. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Healer. Amen.

God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
