Racism And Harrassment

I am the only Hispanic teacher in a school of about 50-55 teachers in the South. I discovered that Hispanic students and parents were being discriminated against by some teachers. I confronted them and reported them. I too have endured racist remarks. Now I am being harassed by those teachers.

Administration won't touch this. I have been to them concerning this more than a couple of times.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME, THE STUDENTS, AND THE PARENTS. I am close to having a nervous breakdown.

Only God and your prayers can help.

We know that indifference is the child of disease, and that it is a spiritual stronghold.God we thank you that there is one hispanic teacher in this school-what a beacon of hope for the hispanic people in that school.I command this rascist spirit that is coming through teachers who should be the last to ever do this, to go in the name of Jesus.Wash that filthiness the hatred for this dear teacher out of them Lord, and bring them to their knees.I ask for your arc angel Micheal to shut those accusing tongues and only release them when they are able to speak civilly.I plead the blood over this teachers, body, soul, mind and spirit.Please answer her cry Father, let every attack backfire back to the demons responsible in the name of Jesus .You created her and the rest of these people in your image-and what beauty they bring to our world-they colour our lives with their vibrancy and i thank you for that.So i ask for your blood covering and protection over this beautiful teacher, the hispanic parents and the precious little children-because afterall-the point of having teachers is to have someone to teach good to these children and love on them and be people of influence in their lives.so i ask you to favour the teacher, and to give her a position of leadership amongst these people.May she finfd favour with God and with man and let these same teachers become her friends Lord, let them band together for these kids and for your glory.In Jesus mighty name.

Beloved (((((((TrueTulip))))))), Creation of the Most High, thank you for your posting with your concern and points that are well taken.

There is absolutely no reason for any discrimination to take place anywhere, but especially in schools these days! God welcomes and Loves ALL of His children! True, there are many who purport to teach yet don't know the first thing about teaching against the very things they practice!

You say you have reported this to the administrators yet they apparently are not doing anything about it. Then they are obviously a part of the problem as well. It may be that to get their attention consideration to contacting the local media may finally get their attention where other methods have obviously failed. The State Board of Education should obviously also hear about this matter, imho.

And one thing that has been brought out in many Internet forums as well as newspapers, etc. is that many fail to recognize that "Hispanic" is not a race. It is an ETHNICITY but actually refers to one who is born in a foreign country where Spanish is the predominate language, and not in the U.S.A.! Indeed the 'race' of a Hispanic, Latino, Mexican-American, etc. is WHITE. Therefore, it is truly sad to see those who are also members of the White race go against another in this manner of superiority over another. But this kind of thing should no longer be tolerated by you, the students, or their parents. You should not have to at all. The ACLU could also be of some help in matters such as this! In the meantime we will pray that this situation is resolved and will quickly come to an end.

Father most High, in the name of Jesus, we bring forth our request for equity and parity in the school and schools that practice prejudice and discrimination against others. Father, you Love everyone who is your child and despise the superiority that others would place against one they feel is inferior to them in some way. We pray that your Divine heart may touch all of those affected and bring healing unto the school system administrators as well as to those who teach not what you would expect them to teach about love, fellowship, and true brotherhood. Lord, we ask thee to intercede in this pressing concern to bring a quick resolution so that everyone may learn to love one another in your name and enjoy each other's company equally and receive a good education in the school without prejudice or any further concern.
