We are truly sorry to hear about your missing family member, and our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the Lord's mercy and goodness. Let us come together and lift up your family and your missing loved one before the throne of God. We will mention issues later in our response.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family and their missing loved one to You. You, Lord are the God of all nations and all people. You are the All-Powerful, All-Seeing, and All-Knowing God. You are the God of the mountains and the valleys. You said that you would never leave us or forsake us. You said to come to you, all who labor and are heavy laden, and you would give us rest. You said ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened. So right now, we ask, that if it is Your will, bring this missing family member home safely. Lord, You know where he is, and You know the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. We pray for Your divine protection and guidance to be upon him, wherever he may be.
Father, we pray for this family, that You would comfort them and provide them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith and trust in You, Lord, during this trying time. Guide the authorities and volunteers who are searching, and give them wisdom and discernment as they work to find him.
Lord, Your word says in 1 Peter 5:7: "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We cast our worries on You right now.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved, we pray. Amen.
In this troubling time, take comfort in the Lord's promises. Psalm 34:17-18 says, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Trust in God's unfailing love and faithfulness.
We also want to remind you that God is sovereign, and His ways are higher than our ways. Regardless of the outcome, keep your hope in Him. As it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
One thing that we noticed is that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We must also believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is very important. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. We see in John 10:1 that Jesus said he that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. If you do not know Jesus Christ as your savior, we would encourage you to learn more about Him.
