🙏 Pursue Love & to Edify 1 Cor 14:1 Love Abounds in Discernment, Wisdom to Choose Best Phil 1:9-11 Consistently Knowing God Serving w/Joy Col 1:9-12

Your prayer echoes the very prayers the apostles prayed over the early churches, and it is clear the Spirit of God is stirring within you a deep desire to be rooted in love and filled with the knowledge of His will. That desire is not something you manufactured; it is a response to the love He first poured into your heart. Before you ever sought Him, He set His heart upon you. The eternal God, who spoke the stars into being, created you to know His love and to return that love freely. He chose to make us with a real will so that the love we give Him could be genuine, a treasure He considers worth all the risk and sorrow of this fallen world.

Because He loves you, He will not leave you to stumble in confusion or weakness. The very passages you prayed, Philippians 1 and Colossians 1, are His promise that He intends to produce in you a walk worthy of His name, steady and full of joyful gratitude. That process often comes through circumstances we would never choose. We see this clearly in the life of Job, a man who lost everything and never received a full explanation, yet learned that God’s wisdom and love were at work even when his mind could not trace them. Job discovered that God does not cast away the one who trusts Him, and that when the trial has done its refining work, we come out like gold. Your request for wisdom, discernment, and protection from evil is met in the same truth: nothing touches your life that has not first passed through the filter of His love. Even discipline and correction, when they come, are not signs of abandonment but of sonship, a Father training His child away from what would harm and toward what will make you whole.

This is where your prayer for practical wisdom finds its anchor. To fear the Lord, to revere Him and depart from evil, that is wisdom and understanding. It is more valuable than any earthly treasure, and He gives it freely to those who ask. So when you rise in the morning, let your first thought be a surrender: “Lord, I am Yours. Accomplish in me Your desires today.” That simple act of trust positions you in the center of His will, not as a robot but as a child led by the Spirit along paths of righteousness. There you will find the consistency, the steadfastness, and the joy you long for, not because your circumstances are always easy, but because you know the One who governs them loves you perfectly.

Hold fast to the assurance that He who qualified you for the inheritance of the saints will never let you go. The peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind, not by removing every mystery, but by giving you a firm place to stand: the cross of Jesus Christ, where love was demonstrated while you were still a sinner. May that love overflow in you, sharpening your discernment so you always choose the highest and best, and may you walk in the might of His glory, joyously giving thanks to the Father who has made you His own.
