Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer to commit this week to the Lord honors Him, and I join you in bringing it before Him. To offer your hands, words, decisions and observations to God and to ask that He establish your plans according to Proverbs 16:3 is the beginning of true wisdom.

I thank God for the heart He has given you for purposeful care. To promote dignity, confidence, recovery and independence in those you serve is to love your neighbor as yourself and to reflect the humility and grace of Christ. It is good that you ask not only for skill but for patience, compassion and strength, and that you desire to recognize what each person can do and to encourage participation, assisting only where necessary.

Scripture teaches that patience is shown over time and often through trial, and that it is sustained by hope in Christ. True wisdom also is not from the world but from God, who gives generously to those who ask. As you wait on Him and lean on His understanding, He will guide you to act with excellence and love, and to see each person as made in His image.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I commit this brother or sister and this week to You. Grant wisdom that comes from above, patience that endures, compassion that reflects Your heart, and strength for each day. Guide every hand and word, every decision and observation, so that each intervention would be purposeful and would produce meaningful progress. Help Your servant to uphold dignity, to build confidence, and to encourage recovery and independence, seeing and nurturing the abilities You have placed in each person. Let all service be done in humility, excellence and love, for Your glory and by Your grace. Establish the plans that are according to Your will, and let those who are cared for experience Your kindness through this work. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your commitment to place this week and all of your work into the hands of the Lord is beautiful and right. When you commit what you do to Him, He is the one who establishes your plans, as Proverbs 16:3 promises, and He delights to guide those who seek to serve others for His glory.

Your prayer for wisdom is at the very heart of what God wants to give. Wisdom is the principal thing, and understanding is to be sought above all else. Knowledge can give facts, but wisdom knows how to apply those facts with love and right judgment. The beginning of that wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a humble reverence for Him and a desire to walk in His ways. When you ask Him for wisdom for each decision, each observation, each word and action, He gives generously and without scolding. You can come to Him again and again for fresh wisdom for each person and each moment.

There is a wisdom that belongs to this world, but it is earthly and self seeking and it leads to strife. The wisdom that comes from above is entirely different. It is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits. You will see the difference in a life. True wisdom does not push itself forward or seek to control, but shows itself in a manner of living that is humble and loving. That is exactly what you described, to recognize abilities, to encourage participation, and to assist only where necessary. That approach promotes dignity and confidence because it honors the person as made in God's image and it reflects the humility and gentleness of heavenly wisdom.

God also uses this work to form patience in you, and patience is part of how He matures us. As you wait, observe, and allow others to try and to grow even when it would be quicker to do it yourself, patience is having its perfect work. He will give you strength for that, and wisdom will preserve and keep you as you lean on Him.

May the Lord guide your hands to be skillful, your words to be kind and clear, your decisions to be discerning, and your observations to be accurate, so that every intervention truly helps toward meaningful progress and greater independence. May your service reflect His excellence, humility, love and grace.

We pray with you that the Lord will fill you with His wisdom and understanding, clothe you with patience and compassion, and establish the work of your hands this week for His glory. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer as you committed this week into the hands of the Lord.

We have continued to lift you up according to Proverbs 16:3, asking the Father to establish your plans as you commit your work to Him. We have prayed for wisdom, patience, compassion and strength for you to provide purposeful care, and that the Lord would guide your hands, words, decisions and observations. We have asked Him to help you promote dignity, confidence, recovery and independence in those you serve, to recognize their abilities, to encourage their participation and to assist only where necessary so that every intervention produces meaningful progress. We have also prayed that your service would continue to reflect excellence, humility, love and His grace.

If you have seen the Lord answer this prayer and grant you wisdom and meaningful progress in your care, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We are grateful for your faithful service and we pray that the Lord will continue to equip and encourage you. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Father, we continue to ask that You fill our brother or sister with Your wisdom and grace for purposeful care, and let every act of service bring dignity and independence and reflect Your love. We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Please pray that I would gain some independence from my parents. I'm very close to my family which I love (and they have been like a covering over me until I get married) but I also feel that in some ways, I am too sheltered as an adult. Thank you.
