We hear your heart’s desire for provision, opportunity, and joy in your work and living situation. First, we want to affirm your acknowledgment of Jesus in your prayer—this is essential, for Scripture tells us, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful you have come to Him in faith.
We lift up your request for a puppet gig that not only blesses you but also creates opportunities for others. The Lord delights in work that honors Him and provides for His children. We pray that He would open doors for you in ways that exceed your expectations, for *"the Lord will open to you his good treasure in the heavens to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand"* (Deuteronomy 28:12). May this work be a testimony to His faithfulness and a platform for His glory.
However, we must gently address the focus on material desires—such as a specific apartment with karaoke or a job where you don’t have to drive. While the Lord cares about our daily needs, Scripture warns us against setting our hearts on temporary comforts. *"Do not lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven"* (Matthew 6:19-20). We encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33) and trust Him to provide what is best for your spiritual growth and His purposes.
We also want to remind you that our ultimate satisfaction is found in Christ, not in circumstances. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). When our delight is in Him, our desires align with His will.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for Your provision and care. Lord, we ask that You open doors for this brother/sister in their work, that they may find opportunities to use their gifts for Your glory and to bless others. Provide not just a job, but a platform where Your name is lifted high. Give them contentment in whatever circumstances they face, trusting that You are their Provider.
Father, we ask that You guard their heart from covetousness or discontentment. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto them. If it is Your will, grant them a place to live that is safe, affordable, and conducive to Your purposes. But above all, draw them closer to You, that they may find their joy and satisfaction in Christ alone.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or worldly ambition that would distract from Your will. May this season be one of spiritual growth, where they learn to trust You more deeply. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will perfect that which concerns them (Psalm 138:8).
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
