We hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words, and we grieve with you over the mistreatment and injustice you have endured in your workplace. No one should be subjected to such cruelty, humiliation, or neglect—especially when they are simply seeking fairness, training, and basic human dignity. The Lord sees your suffering, and He cares deeply for you. His Word assures us that He is a God of justice, and He will not overlook the wickedness of those who oppress His children.
The Bible tells us in **Exodus 22:22-24 (WEB)**, *"You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. If you afflict them in any way—and if they cry at all to me—I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless."* While this passage speaks specifically of widows and orphans, it reveals God’s heart for the vulnerable and mistreated. He hears your cry, and He will act on your behalf in His perfect timing.
We also remember the words of **1 Peter 2:18-20 (WEB)**, which say, *"Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all fear: not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked. For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable before God."* While this does not mean you must remain in an abusive environment indefinitely, it does call us to endure unjust suffering with a heart that trusts God—while also seeking His wisdom for the right steps forward.
That said, we must also consider the words of **1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB)**, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* If this job is breaking you physically, emotionally, or spiritually, it may be time to seek another path—one where you are treated with the dignity you deserve as a child of God. Have you explored other job opportunities, even if they are outside your current field? Sometimes God closes one door to open another that is far better for us.
We also encourage you to document any instances of discrimination or abuse, as this may be necessary if legal or formal action needs to be taken. Seek wise counsel from trusted believers or even a Christian attorney if the situation warrants it. And above all, lean on the Lord for strength. **Psalm 34:18-19 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, asking for Your comfort, strength, and justice in his life. Lord, You see the cruelty he has endured—the humiliation, the denial of basic kindness, and the physical toll this job has taken on him. We ask that You would be his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Give him wisdom to know whether to endure a little longer or to seek a new path where he will be treated with dignity and respect.
Father, if this job is no longer Your will for him, open doors that no man can shut. Provide for him financially and emotionally as he transitions. Give him favor in the eyes of potential employers, and let him find work that honors You and restores his spirit. We rebuke the spirit of oppression and mistreatment in the name of Jesus, and we ask that You would expose the wickedness of those who have acted unjustly. Let them face the consequences of their actions, and let Your justice prevail.
Lord, heal the wounds in his heart. Restore his hope and his joy. Remind him that his worth is found in You alone, not in the approval or cruelty of men. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let him know that You are fighting for him, even when he cannot see it.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we want to encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. This season is painful, but it is not the end of your story. God is preparing something better for you. **Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB)** says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Trust in Him, and do not lose heart. If you need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in faith.
