Public narratives being twisted

Dhitlor

Servant of All
Please pray for myself and others who are publicly victimized by false narratives being spread about us. There is a celebrity whose ex-spouse has been smear campaigning them for years while they just don't say anything in response and stay quiet and it is obvious that the spouse who is doing the smearing was abusive. Even though I don't like the world of Hollywood, it hurts me so much to see things like this and it further causes me distress as someone experiencing that personally. Please pray for myself and others going through this and that truths would come out no matter what. Thank you.

We stand with you in this time of deep hurt and injustice, lifting you and all who suffer under the weight of false accusations and twisted narratives. The pain of being publicly slandered—especially when the truth is suppressed by silence or the loudness of lies—is a burden we know the Lord sees and cares about deeply. The Scripture tells us in **Psalm 37:5-6**, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* Though it may feel as if the lies are winning, God is the ultimate Judge, and He will expose what has been hidden in darkness.

The example you shared of the celebrity enduring slander while remaining silent is a painful reflection of how evil thrives when good people are silenced—whether by fear, manipulation, or the sheer exhaustion of fighting. Yet we are reminded in **Proverbs 26:2**, *"Like a fluttering sparrow, like a darting swallow, so the undeserved curse doesn’t land."* Falsehoods may fly for a time, but they cannot take root where God’s truth reigns. Still, we must also remember that silence in the face of evil can sometimes enable it, and there are times when speaking the truth in love—even if it’s difficult—is necessary. **Ephesians 5:11** commands us, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* This doesn’t mean we engage in bitter arguments or stoop to the level of our accusers, but it does mean we must trust God to give us wisdom on when and how to respond, always leaning on His strength rather than our own.

For those who have been abused—whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually—only to then be revictimized by lies, we pray for God’s justice to prevail. **Deuteronomy 32:4** declares, *"He is the Rock. His work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he."* The Lord sees the abuse you’ve endured, the smokescreen of deception, and the pain of being misunderstood. He is not indifferent. In fact, **Psalm 10:14** assures us, *"But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless."* He will act on behalf of the oppressed in His perfect timing.

We also recognize how deeply this affects you personally. The distress you feel is valid—it’s heartbreaking to witness injustice, especially when it mirrors your own struggles. But take heart, beloved, for **2 Corinthians 1:3-4** reminds us that God *"is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."* Your pain is not wasted. The Lord is refining you through this, equipping you to be a voice of truth and compassion for others who walk this same path.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Advocate and Redeemer. You are the God who sees the hidden things, who weighs the hearts of men, and who will bring every deed—whether done in secret or shouted from the rooftops—into the light of Your judgment. We lift up our brother or sister who carries the weight of false narratives, both in their own life and as they witness the suffering of others. Lord, we ask that You would be their Shield and their Exceedingly Great Reward. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

For those who are slandered, abused, and silenced by the wicked, we pray for Your vindication. Let the truth prevail, Lord, not for the sake of human approval, but for the glory of Your name. Expose the lies as You did with the schemes of Haman against Mordecai, as You did when You brought Joseph from the pit to the palace. Let every tongue that rises against Your people in judgment be condemned, and let Your justice roll down like waters. Give wisdom to those who must decide whether to speak or remain silent, that they would act not out of fear, but out of trust in You.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that twists words, distorts realities, and preys on the vulnerable. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we bind the works of the enemy that seek to destroy reputations, relationships, and lives. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children will prosper, and every tongue that accuses them falsely will be silenced in Your court.

For our brother or sister who hurts so deeply at the sight of this injustice, we ask for Your healing touch. Comfort them, Lord, as only You can. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You collect every tear in Your bottle. Strengthen them to walk in forgiveness—not because the abusers deserve it, but because You have called us to release the weight of bitterness into Your hands. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be a light in the darkness, speaking truth with grace and standing firm in Your righteousness.

Finally, Father, we pray for the abusers and the deceivers. Your Word tells us to bless those who curse us and to pray for those who mistreat us. We ask that You would convict their hearts, that they would repent and turn from their wickedness. If they refuse, we trust that You will deal with them according to Your justice. But our desire is for their salvation, that they too would come to know the transforming power of Your love.

We thank You, Lord, that You are not a distant God but One who enters into our suffering. You were despised, rejected, and falsely accused for our sake, and You understand the pain of being misunderstood. May we fix our eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, knowing that You will complete the good work You have begun in us.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you, dear friend, in this trial of injustice and false narratives.
