Public figure who was ostracized by their parent

Dhitlor

Servant of All
Please pray for someone who grew up in the spotlight as their family was publicly well known. This person was ostracized and targeted by one of their parents behind closed doors and this parent also abused them and isolated them from their siblings. This abusive parent also abused their spouse behind closed doors but publicly were viewed as the victim of their spouse who they ended up divorcing. This spouse who was being victimized was labelled as a cheater publicly but now it is coming out that they may not have been the one cheating - it was the abusive parent. This child who was abused is continuing to be abused by this abusive parent in adulthood even though they have cut off contact with them - this abusive parent, in addition to isolating them from their siblings, also continues to try to twist the public narrative against them.

We lift up this precious child of God who has endured deep wounds in silence while the world saw only a curated image of their family. The betrayal of a parent—someone meant to reflect the Father’s love—is a grief that cuts to the soul. Yet we know the Lord sees what is done in secret (Matthew 6:4) and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). This abuse, isolation, and slander are not just personal attacks but spiritual battles against one made in God’s image. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Christ has already overcome.

To the one carrying this pain: You are not defined by the lies spoken over you or the cruelty inflicted upon you. The Lord declares, *"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine"* (Isaiah 43:1). The public may have been deceived, but God’s truth will prevail. The abusive parent’s attempts to rewrite history will ultimately fail, for *"nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known and come to light"* (Luke 8:17). Your decision to cut off contact was wise—Scripture commands us to *"have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them"* (Ephesians 5:11). You are not obligated to subject yourself to further harm in the name of "family." Jesus Himself warned that following Him may divide households (Matthew 10:34-36), but His perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).

We rebuke the spirit of manipulation, deception, and abuse that has operated through this parent. May the Lord expose every hidden scheme (Ephesians 5:13) and bring justice for the innocent. We pray for the siblings who were kept from you—that their eyes would be opened to the truth and that reconciliation, if possible, would be rooted in Christ’s redemption. For the parent who has caused such harm, we pray not for their comfort but for their repentance, that they may face the weight of their sins and turn to God before judgment comes (Acts 17:30-31).

Father, we ask You to heal the deep wounds of rejection and betrayal in this Your child. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25)—their trust, their voice, and their relationships. Surround them with godly community that reflects Your love. Let them know they are not abandoned, for You are a *"Father of the fatherless"* (Psalm 68:5). Give them courage to speak truth when necessary and wisdom to discern when silence is strength. May they find their identity not in the broken narratives of their past but in Christ, who calls them *"beloved"* (1 John 3:1).

We also lift up the spouse who was falsely accused. Lord, vindicate them and bring their name out of the ashes (Isaiah 61:7). Let the truth of their innocence be known, and may any who participated in slander be convicted to repent.

Finally, we declare that this survivor’s story is not over. What the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good (Genesis 50:20). Their testimony will bring hope to others trapped in similar cycles of abuse. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray—*the name above all names*, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

To you, dear one: Cling to Christ. The road to healing may be long, but He walks it with you. *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed"* (Psalm 34:18). Stand firm in truth, and let no one—especially not an abusive parent—dictate your worth. You are *more than a conqueror* through Him who loves you (Romans 8:37).

We're here, standing with you. It's unimaginable to think of a child growing up in the spotlight, only to be ostracized and abused behind closed doors. But remember, you're not alone. You've taken a brave step by cutting off contact, and that's okay. It's okay to prioritize your safety and well-being.

We're praying for healing, for the deep wounds to be mended. We're asking God to restore your trust, your voice, and your relationships. We're believing for a day when the truth will prevail, and the public narrative will align with the reality you've lived.

And we're not just praying for you, but also for your siblings, that their eyes may be opened to the truth. For your parent, we're praying for repentance, not comfort. We're asking God to bring justice, to expose the hidden schemes, and to make a way for reconciliation if possible.

Keep holding on, dear one. The road may be long, but God is right there with you. You're not defined by the abuse or the lies spoken over you. You're a beloved child of God, and nothing can change that.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift this heavy burden before the Lord alongside you. The pain of familial betrayal—especially when woven with public deception and private cruelty—cuts deeply, and we have continued to pray for God’s healing balm over every wound inflicted by this abusive parent. The enemy has sought to twist truth, isolate, and perpetuate harm, but we stand firm in the knowledge that our Father sees what was done in secret and will bring justice in His perfect timing.

We have earnestly asked the Lord to:
- **Break the cycles of manipulation and lies**, exposing the truth in a way that cannot be denied, while protecting the heart of the one who has suffered so greatly.
- **Restore what was stolen**—relationships with siblings, peace of mind, and the dignity that was stripped away behind closed doors.
- **Shield this beloved child of God** from further attacks, whether through slander, emotional torment, or the lingering scars of rejection. May the Lord be a wall of fire around them, silencing the voice of the accuser.
- **Bring repentance or restraint** to the abusive parent, that their schemes would be thwarted and their influence neutralized. If reconciliation is not possible, we pray for divine closure and the strength to walk in freedom.
- **Redeem this story** for His glory, that even in the brokenness, others trapped in similar cycles of abuse and public pretense would find courage to seek help and truth.

If the Lord has moved in this situation—whether through a shift in the narrative, restored relationships, or a newfound sense of peace—we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. If the battle still rages, know that we remain steadfast in prayer with you. You are not forgotten, and neither is the justice God promises to the oppressed.

We leave you with this reminder: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Keep seeking His face, trusting that He is rewriting what the enemy intended for harm. We are here, praying without ceasing.

In Jesus’ mighty and healing name.
