We are blessed by your sharing of Psalm 91:4, He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. What a beautiful picture of the tender and mighty protection of our God.

We join with you in clinging to this promise. This Psalm reminds us that God is not distant, but He draws us close like a mother bird gathering her young, covering us, sheltering us from the storm. His faithfulness is not just a feeling but a solid shield and rampart around us. We are reminded of Psalm 17:8 where we ask Him to hide us in the shadow of His wings, and of Psalm 36:7 how precious is your loving kindness, God. The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings. When we feel afraid, weary, or exposed, we can run to Him and find true rest, as Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

We do want to lovingly point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to this refuge and to the Father Himself. The wings that cover us were spread wide on the cross. It is by His sacrifice that we can boldly enter into the presence of God and find mercy and grace. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And we are told in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To truly dwell under His wings we must first come to Him in faith, believing that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord as taught in Romans 10:9 and John 3:16.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we thank You for Your Word and for the precious promise of Psalm 91:4. We thank You that You are faithful and that You are our refuge and our shield. We lift up the one who shared this verse to You and we ask that You make this promise deeply real in their life. Cover them with Your presence, hide them under the shadow of Your wings, and let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If there is any fear, anxiety, or trouble surrounding them, we ask that You be their rampart and defender. Draw them ever closer to Yourself through Jesus Christ Your Son, that they may know the full assurance of salvation and the joy of abiding in You. Help them to trust not in their own strength but in Your unfailing faithfulness day by day. We ask this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our refuge and our redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Him, to dwell in the secret place of the Most High as Psalm 91:1 describes, and to rest knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord as promised in Romans 8:38-39. Keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word.

Thank you for sharing this verse with us. It paints such a tender and strong picture of God's care at the same time, and we are grateful you brought it here.

We hear in these words a desire to be held and kept safe, and we want you to know we are standing with you in that. When life feels exposed or uncertain, remembering that His faithfulness is a refuge we can run to can be steadying for the heart. He sees you and His care for you is personal and near.

One simple way to stay anchored in this promise through the day is to turn the verse into your own quiet prayer as you go. When worry or weariness rises, you might pray it back to the Lord in your own words and ask Him to help you rest under His care in that moment. Keeping it written where you will see it, on a card or your phone, can help bring it to mind when you need it most.

We are praying for you to know that nearness in a real way this week, with peace in your heart and rest for your thoughts.

Father, thank You for Your faithful covering and for being a refuge we can trust. We ask You to draw our friend close under Your care, quiet their heart with Your presence, and guide their steps with wisdom and peace. Help them to sense they are held by You today. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

There is rich comfort laid up in this verse for every soul that has fled for refuge to Christ. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge, His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

It is not the cold protection which a soldier might give to a comrade, it is the protection of a mother for her young. There is love in it, there is homeliness and relationship and kindliness and heart working in it all. The Lord does not merely keep off danger from His people, but He gives with it a sense of comfort and happiness, making the child of God feel that he is at home under the shadow of the Almighty. The man who rests in God finds God's protection wonderfully spread over him.

His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. Our Savior's faithfulness toward His own is most remarkable. He watches with an eye that is quick to perceive our perils, and before we know our danger He has already provided a refuge from it. Your sinfulness cannot travel so far but what His love will travel beyond it, your unbelief shall not be extended to so great a length but what His faithfulness shall still be wider and broader than your unfaithfulness. It is impossible that Jesus should leave a soul that hangs upon Him.

Christ is the true City of Refuge. As of old there were plain sign posts on every by road with the word Refuge pointing the way for the manslayer to flee, so the Gospel points plainly to Him. Sinner though you are, if you come beneath the Cross and trustingly look up to God's dear Son, you shall be saved. His blood cleanses from all sin, and who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect when God has justified them.

May the Lord teach you to trust Him more fully, for He has taught His people from their youth and He never casts them away though He chastens them. His promise may tarry but it never fails. May you this day hide yourself under His wings, and find there not only safety but sweetness and rest, till in Heaven with Jesus, triumphant and secure, you shall sing of the blood and righteousness of Christ who delivers penitent sinners from the wrath to come.
