Psalm 16:8 (08-20-10)

I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Psalm 16:8 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...There are many things that can trouble our lives, but none that can shake us loose from the grip of God's grace if our hearts remain pointed at Jesus as our Lord and our hope remains focused on the Lord's return. If Jesus is our Lord, then all of life's greatest blessings lie ahead of us and he will let nothing rob us of this coming glory!

My Prayer...Holy Lord, you are worthy of majesty, honor, and praise. I lift up your name, O God, and place it above every name. As I look to the future, I want to honor you and I want to journey with you there. Since I believe you will never leave or forsake me, I will always look ahead to find you leading the way. Through Jesus I pray. Amen.

I really like this post. Tonight the Bishop at our church preached of sort of the same thing. It was really directed toward guarding your heart against evil. He preached of a story in the book of Kings how the two woman both prositutes had babies at the same time. One killed hers by smothering it and stole the others baby for her own. They went to the king and he said that he would cutt it in half and give it to both of them. The stolen babies mother said not to do that to her child please spare his life even if that meens me not having him. Once the king saw her appreciation for the childs life and sacrifice of her ego he seen she was the real keeper and mother of the baby and gave it to her after the theiving mother said "fine if i cant have it neither can she so go ahead and kill it.

The Bishop showed us how we should treat our spiritual minds as the same and protect it as something precouse. The Jews saw expecially boy babies and a revelation out of dispare of the futre becuase it ment the boy could take care of them throught there lives and long live a familys buisness or flocks. We should see the revelation of something precouse and not allow the devil to steal it with obsticles put in our way or with influnces we allow ourselves to be involved in. The Bishop even preached in a point of view as many people are trying to birth a revelation of the spirit into there lives,,, it is trying to breath within us and come out of us to change our lives but some of us have gotten so close to letting it out and stopping ourselvs from letting God have his way with out lives. He preached how we so easly let ourselves lose that spiritual revelation or so easly back off from it and if we would just let it out and put the rest in Gods hands miricles could happen for us blessing would pour on us and our brothers and sisters. I quickly related to it becuase I know thats happened to me. It taught me to open up and let the Lord have his way and protect my heart and spirit from evil.

REally showd me the meaning of loving the Lord with all my heart mind and soul and to honor and praise him for the precouse gift of his Holy Spirit and salvation and that once God see's we appreciate him truely and understand our purpose is for him and truely cherish the gift hes given us he can bless us more:)

Psalm 16:8 "I have set the Lord continually before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." We need to make God the forefront of everything in our lives. If He is at the front, nothing can knock you off course.
