Ps. 91, gratitude, deliverance, rest, peace, rebuke this evil

Heavenly Father thank you for blessing us all with another day. I pray again for freedom and deliverance from evil attacks. I rebuke this evil and demand it leaves in Jesus holy name. Amen

I pray Psalm 91 today Father:


“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. We join you today in thanksgiving and in agreement for deliverance, rest and peace, and we thank our Heavenly Father with you for the gift of another day and for His constant mercy. We love that you are standing on Psalm 91, for it is a precious promise for those who dwell close to the Lord. As it is written, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. When we make the Most High our dwelling, we are not trusting in our own strength but in His faithfulness which is our shield and rampart Psalm 91:4, and we can rest under His wings without fear.

We stand with you to rebuke every evil attack and we agree that in the holy name of Jesus that evil must flee. Scripture teaches us that our authority to resist the enemy comes as we first submit ourselves to God. Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. We are also called to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. We do not rebuke in our own power, but in the power and authority of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we have access to the Father and by which we are saved and delivered.

We pray together for you now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You thanks for Your goodness, Your protection and Your unfailing love. We thank You that You are our refuge and fortress and that You command Your angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways Psalm 91:11. Lord, we ask for Your deliverance and freedom for our friend from every evil attack, every terror of night and every arrow that flies by day. We rebuke every work of darkness and command it to leave in Jesus name, and we ask You to fill this place with Your peace which surpasses all understanding and will guard hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We pray You would establish and guard from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3, grant deep rest to the weary as You have promised, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28, and let Your presence bring lasting peace. We ask You to show Your salvation and satisfy with long life as You promise to those who love You and acknowledge Your name Psalm 91:14-16. In Jesus holy and powerful name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to dwell in that secret place through daily prayer, thanksgiving and abiding in the Word, for gratitude keeps our hearts anchored in His goodness and reminds us that He is faithful. Keep declaring His promises aloud, keep resisting the enemy by submitting to God and walking in obedience, and trust that the Lord is with you in trouble and will deliver and honor you as you call upon Him. The Lord is faithful and His peace will guard you as you rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

We were encouraged to read your prayer this morning. Thank you for beginning the day with gratitude and for turning again to the Lord as your refuge when you feel pressed by evil. That posture of trust matters, and we join you in it.

What stood out to us is how you are holding both thankfulness and a real need for deliverance and rest at the same time. Psalm 91 speaks of dwelling and resting in the shelter of the Most High, not just passing through. Rest often grows as we keep staying close to Him through simple daily turning to Him in prayer, in His Word, and with other believers who can stand with us.

One gentle next step that helps many is to keep praying Psalm 91 aloud as your own prayer each morning or evening this week, and to let one or two trusted believers know you are asking for peace and freedom from these attacks so you are not carrying it alone. If the heaviness continues, reaching out to a pastor for ongoing prayer and support can be a steady help alongside prayer.

Father, we thank You for this day and for Your faithful care. We ask You to draw our friend close under Your wings and give deep rest and peace. In Jesus holy name we rebuke what is evil and ask You to drive it away, and to fill this home with Your presence and protection. Your prayer of thanksgiving for another day is good and comely, and we join our hearts with yours in blessing the Lord who has kept you through the night and brought you to see the light of a new morning.

You have done well to take Psalm 91 upon your lips, for it is full to the very brim of exceedingly great and precious promises. To dwell in the shelter of the Most High is not to pay a passing visit, but to make the Lord your home. When you can say with a daring act of faith, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust, then you find what the Psalm so condescendingly sets forth, He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shall you trust. There is not only protection from danger vouchsafed, but a sense of comfort and happiness communicated, making the child of God feel that he is at home under the shadow of the Almighty. His faithfulness shall be your shield and rampart.

In that blessed shelter you may rightly pray for freedom and deliverance and rebuke the evil that assails you in the name of Jesus. The promise stands sure, Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him, I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He shall call upon me and I will answer him, I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. Bring this promise in your hands and lay it before the throne and plead with His faithfulness that He will do as He has said. Prayer is essential, and He delights to answer. He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways, and though the foe may come as a lion or a dragon, you shall trample the lion and the serpent under foot by His sovereign power. Keep back from the beginnings of evil, walk in the way of separation from the world and close walking with God, and you may depend upon His keeping.

There also you find the rest and peace for which you ask. The rest which Jesus gives is not the false peace of the world that would lull the soul to sleep, but a holy calm that comes from trusting the Father, resting in Christ, and yielding to the Holy Spirit. When the soul waits only upon God, expectation is from Him, and peace follows, calm rest, holy joy, quiet trustfulness and assured confidence. You will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day, for the Lord Himself is your dwelling place, and no harm shall overtake you as you abide in Him.

We pray with you now, Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this new day and for Your mercies which are new every morning. We thank You that You are our refuge and fortress. Cover this Your child with Your feathers, let him rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and let Your faithfulness be his shield. In the holy name of Jesus we ask You to rebuke every evil attack and cause it to depart, for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Grant deliverance, grant deep rest and Your own peace that passes understanding, guard him by Your angels in all his ways, be with him in trouble, deliver him and show him Your salvation. We ask this trusting Your sure word, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Jesus, thank You for Your 33 years down here from the manger to humbling Yourself to get babtized by John, especially the action-packed 3+ years of ministry: teachings, miracles, loaves, fish, nets of fish, resurrections, blind eyes, lame walking, poor hearing the gospel -- the prophecies, living in community with the disciples just "doing life" from Your perspective (reality), putting up with our unbelief, the distortions of the Pharisees and Sadducees, their constant watching You, attempts to trap and trick You -- literally, like WOW -- and finally Your betrayal, rejection and letting Barabbas loose instead... All the self-restraint You showed, the suffering, unjustly in my and our stead and sacrificial death on the cross for my and our sins, shame, sickness... Your burial, resurrection, appearing and teaching for 40 days, ascension, and sending forth The Holy Spirit, our counselor, advocate, intercessor, and bearer of good gifts, 1 Cor 12:4-8.

Thank You Your sheep hear Your voice, John 10:27, and will never follow a stranger, John 10:5. We NEED to hear Your voice of direction -- It is written, "as many as are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT are the children of God," Rom 8:14. We ask to be FILLED with the knowledge of Your Will in all spiritual wisdom so we can walk worthy, Col 1:9-10. We ask for generous amounts of practical WISDOM, James 1:5, we cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:6-7. So with confidence we seek YOU for YOU are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6. With thanksgiving we offer our requests for Your voice, leading and wisdom -- let "now" the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. Thank You for protecting us and praying for us, keeping us from the evil one, Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25, Jn 17:15. We shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isa 55:12, thank You for everything, especially for hearing when we ask, for in hearing, we have, 1 John 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
