Provision

Am trying but hard am failing needing money, I know where God wants me to be but I cannot get there I don’t have money, I don’t want to get loans or borrow money from people due to too many experiences, I would rather the money come discretely or winning I know people will think of winning as a bad thing but I have always seen it as Gods not mine and have had visions of money falling around me even part of the lottery numbers

We hear your heart and we join with you in bringing this need for provision before the Father together in Jesus name. You are trying and feeling like you are failing, and you know where God is calling you to be but lack the money to get there. We understand the discouragement in that place, and we also affirm your desire not to get loans or to borrow from people, for the Scripture says Proverbs 22:7 The borrower is servant to the lender and Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another. That desire to avoid debt is wise and honors God.

We also want to lovingly address what you shared about wanting the money to come discreetly or by winning, and about visions of money falling around you and even part of the lottery numbers. We must gently rebuke the idea that God would provide through gambling or the lottery. While we understand the desperation that makes winning seem like an answer, the lottery is not God's way of provision. It is built on covetousness and the hope of gaining wealth without labor, and Scripture warns us Proverbs 13:11 Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by labor will increase and 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. God calls us to diligent work and faithful stewardship, not to chance. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither let him eat and Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.

Visions and impressions must always be tested against Scripture. Not every vision is from the Lord, and God will not lead us to disobey His own principles to fulfill His will. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God. If God truly wants you in a certain place, He is able to open the door without you compromising your conscience or resorting to gambling. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Matthew 6:33 reminds us But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. His provision often comes through work, through the generosity of the body of Christ, through unexpected but honest means, and always in a way that builds character and keeps us dependent on Him, not on luck.

We also noticed your request speaks of God but does not mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you with love that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me and Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You see the striving and the feeling of failure, You see the financial need and the sincere desire to be where You want him to be without going into debt. Lord, we ask You to provide according to Your riches in glory, to open doors for honest work and opportunity, to grant wisdom and favor, and to make clear the path forward. Give him discernment to recognize Your voice and to turn away from any temptation to seek provision through gambling or winning by chance. Help him to trust You as Jehovah Jireh, his provider, and to find contentment and diligence while he waits. Strengthen his faith so he does not grow weary, for Galatians 6:9 says Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up. Provide what is needed in Your perfect way and timing, and draw him closer to Jesus, that he may know the peace that comes from trusting in Your Son alone for salvation and for daily bread. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking first His kingdom, to be faithful in the small things, to work diligently with what is in your hand, to seek counsel from a local Bible believing church family who may be able to help with practical needs, and to bring every vision and desire before the Lord in prayer and the Word, asking Him to confirm His will. God is faithful and He will not fail to provide what you truly need to obey Him.

We hear how heavy this feels for you, wanting to be where you believe God wants you to be and feeling stuck because the money just isn't there. It makes sense you don't want to go into debt or have to borrow from people again after hard experiences, and that you are longing for provision that comes quietly and with dignity.

We also hear the hope you have placed on winning, and those vivid pictures of money falling around you. We understand why that feels like an answer, but in our experience chasing a win often brings more strain and disappointment, even when the heart behind it is sincere and wants to honor God.

You don't have to carry the pressure of figuring this out alone. One steady next step could be to sit down with a trusted pastor or a financial counselor through your church or a local community agency. Not to be told what to do, but to talk honestly about where you feel God leading, what that step would actually cost, and what simple, faithful options might exist to move toward it without debt or gambling.

We are praying for you and will keep praying.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the effort, the discouragement, and the deep desire to follow You well. Provide for daily needs, give clear wisdom for next decisions, guard his heart from false hope, and show him Your faithful care and direction in practical ways. Give peace as he waits on You. Amen.

The Lord knows your need and hears the cry of a heart that desires to follow where He leads and yet feels hindered for want of provision. It is right to bring this burden before Him, for He is the Master of all things and nothing we have is our own, it is all His. As stewards we are called to be found faithful, laboring with what He has placed in our hands for the good of our brothers and sisters and for His glory, remembering that He will provide according to His wisdom and not according to our haste.

You have spoken plainly of the temptation to seek provision through winning, even through the lottery, and of visions of money falling around you. This must be met with great care and prayer. Our Lord taught us to pray, Lead us not into temptation, and that prayer includes the pining need of want on the one hand and the snare of sudden money on the other. There is around money a society which tempts men into racing, gambling and all manner of iniquities, and the soul that prays not to be led into temptation must not then willingly go into it. To seek the lottery is to step into that very temptation, hoping for gain without labor and putting a hope in chance which belongs only to Providence. Though it may appear to be a discreet and harmless way, it is a perilous path that has led many to hurt and to stain their garments, and we cannot ask God to bless what His Word warns us to flee.

Visions and impressions, even numbers that seem to present themselves, are not a sure guide. We must test all things by Scripture and by sober judgment, humbling ourselves before God and worshipping Him alone, not the idol of provision itself. The enemy can use our very desire to do good and to be where God wants us to be to draw us aside, and the holiest position will not keep a man from temptation if he seeks it out.

Take comfort that though you do not yet see the way, the Lord has made provision in abundance for His people, and He often does it when we cannot see it, even within a stone's throw of the gate. He does not call you to sloth or to trifling with His truth, nor to a loose and careless waiting, but to faithful stewardship in the place where you are now, doing with diligence the work of your hands, seeking counsel of wise and godly friends, making your needs known to the Lord with thanksgiving, and trusting Him to open the right door in His time. If He would have you elsewhere, He is able to move you there without your being entangled in gambling or in debts which you have wisely desired to avoid.

Therefore pray thus, not for winning, but for keeping. Pray, Father, lead me not into temptation, save me from the mischief of it, let me not slip nor slide, but keep me standing fast. Provide for me as You see fit, give me daily bread, give me wisdom to steward little or much, give me contentment to wait upon Your Providence and strength to labor faithfully where You have set me. If it be Your will that I move, make the way plain by honest means and by Your own hand.

May the Lord grant you peace in waiting, diligence in stewardship, and a heart kept from covetousness, that you may prove His faithfulness and find that He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly in Christ Jesus, through whom alone is our salvation and our hope of provision both now and forever.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your need and your desire to follow where you believe God is leading you have been heard. It is painful to work hard and still lack what you need to take the next step, and it is understandable to want provision to come quietly without the burden of debt that has hurt you before.

Scripture teaches us to persevere in prayer even when the answer is delayed. It is not that God delights in withholding good, but He often lengthens our supplication so that we will keep coming to Him and learn to abide near Him. Like a loving father who allows a child to feel need so the child will run to his arms, God can permit a season of want not to punish us but to draw us to Himself, to teach dependence and moderation. So continue to pray faithfully, whether you have not yet received or whether you have received, and give careful heed to prayer in both seasons.

I want to speak gently but clearly about the hope of money coming through winning, including the lottery and visions of money falling around you and numbers being revealed. The desire for more is one of the most powerful temptations, and it often presents itself as an easy and discreet solution. Scripture warns us not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but to seek what is needed for health and for faithful living, and to spend our main energy on spiritual things. To chase provision through gambling is to make provision for that desire for more. The present life and its riches are like a dream. A person may seem rich in a dream, but when he awakes he finds it was nothing, and sometimes the dream leaves real shame and loss behind. Visions and strong impressions, even when they feel spiritual, must be tested against the Word of God. God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will with the temptation make a way to endure it. His way is not to lead you into gambling, but to lead you through temptation and away from it, toward trust, diligence and contentment.

That does not mean God is indifferent to your practical need. He does care where He is calling you and how you will get there. The ordinary pattern He gives for provision is through honest work, wise stewardship, cutting away excess and living with moderation, and through the help of His people. It is wise to be cautious about loans that have harmed you in the past. Instead ask Him for daily bread, for skill and opportunity in your work, for counsel from mature believers who know your situation face to face, and for contentment while you wait.

We will pray for you. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who alone is our salvation and our hope, we bring this need before You. You see the desire to follow Your leading and the lack of resources to take the next step. Provide what is needed in a way that honors You, through lawful and honest means. Give wisdom to steward what is already in hand, strength to labor faithfully, and peace to wait on Your timing. Guard this heart from the love of money and from the temptation to seek quick wealth, and draw it ever closer to Yourself. Teach perseverance in prayer and grant trust in Your faithful care. Give clear guidance for the next step and the means to take it, and let all provision lead to thankfulness and service to You. Amen.

Stay connected to a local church, share your practical needs with trusted pastors or elders, seek diligent work and godly counsel, and keep bringing your requests to God each day.

I hear the weight in what you have shared, the sincere desire to be where you believe God wants you to be, and the frustration of not having the resources to get there. The struggle with finances can be a deep test, and God allows testing not because He needs to learn what is in us, for He already knows, but because we need to learn what is in us and to grow. The proving of faith is part of how patience is formed in us, and patience is learned as we wait for God to answer in His way and His time. When we refuse to wait and try to force an answer ourselves, we often create more problems.

It is understandable that you do not want to go into debt or be dependent on borrowing from others, especially after painful experiences. At the same time, the desire for money to come suddenly or through gambling needs to be weighed carefully before the Lord. God does not entice us toward evil, and He does not tempt us to do what is wrong in order to provide for us. The pull toward a quick gain can be a solicitation to step outside of trusting Him, and that kind of temptation does not come from God, though He may allow it to reveal where our trust truly rests. Scripture warns about being double minded, wanting to trust God and yet also holding to our own plan for how He must provide. That divided commitment makes us unstable, and God calls us to a wholehearted trust.

Visions or strong impressions, even the sense of seeing money or numbers, need to be tested by what God has already said in His Word. Feelings and impressions can be very persuasive, but they are not a reliable guide on their own. The sure evidence of God's love for you is not in whether money appears or a number comes to pass, but in the cross where He gave His Son for you while you were still a sinner. When doubt rises because of need, look there first. That is where His love was demonstrated once for all.

God has not left you without provision for your need. He has given many precious promises that cover what His people require, and He invites you to ask Him for wisdom. When you ask for wisdom He does not scold you for asking, He gives generously. Trust in the Lord with all your heart rather than leaning on your own understanding, and acknowledge Him in your way. He has promised to direct your steps. As long as you look to yourself for the resource, your resources will be limited. When you look to Him, your resources are unlimited because He is unlimited, and He is looking for hearts that are fully turned toward Him, willing to be in the flow of what He wants to do.

There is also a rest that belongs to the people of God. It is the rest of ceasing from your own striving to make something happen and resting in the finished work of Christ for you. That does not mean doing nothing, but it means your work becomes a response of love for what He has already done, not an anxious effort to earn His provision. Abraham believed God and that trust was counted to him as righteousness, not because of what he achieved but because he relied on God to do what he could not do. In the same way, your right standing before God rests on faith in Jesus who died for your offenses and was raised for your justification.

Like Job, you may be in a season where you are blamed or misunderstood, or where you are tempted to charge God with wrong. Job did not curse God, and in the end God showed Himself faithful. He can do the same for you, not necessarily by a sudden windfall, but by His own faithful provision in His own way.

I will pray that the Lord will provide for your needs according to His wisdom, that He will make clear the next steps to the place He has for you, that He will guard your heart from the lure of gambling and from any scheme that would compromise your trust in Him, and that He will give you patience to wait on Him and faith to rest in His love. Ask Him plainly for wisdom about work, provision, and direction, and trust Him to answer without you having to force a door open.
