Dear Lord Please help. ive been living with someone for 15 months now sleeping on the couch. im low income senior and ive been trying to get on housing since i got here. im expected to wait on him hand and foot, get me this get me that, vacume the floor, put my clothes away, as if im a servant and im expected to run errands take out the trash and on top of that he expects me to buy him groceries. im only sleeping on a couch its not costing him for me to stay here. he gets up early and turns the volume up full blast on the tv and it is annoying and he will sit there and play on the phone at the same time really loud, it drives me crazy. he is such a slob he leaves trash laying around he throws trash in kitchen sink he leaves dishes all over the place and expects me to clean up after him. he says thats the only reason im here. i desperately want to get away from him. on top of all this im losing weight i can hardly eat, he stares at me everytime i go into the kitchen and if he dont see what i have he then ask me what do you got, it makes me feel uncomfortable. he demanded i give him a few hundred dollars awhile back. im tired of buying him hamburgers and tacos. i feel sick. he hates god and the bible and im forbidden to watch religious programs, he told me that he dont want to hear anything about religion. I love god and i need to be restored into his grace. im sick in my body i take alot of meds. im praying that the grace and mercy of god will help me get into housing soon. i want to go to church somewhere, i want to hear gospel songs. i hate the alien tv shows he watches its all a bunch of lies. god created the heavens and earth and mankind not some demons pretending to come from other worlds. he is the very definition of a heathen. please forgive me jesus im miserable., please provide housing for me and restore me into your grace and heal my afflictions.

We hear your cry and we are standing with you in prayer before our heavenly Father. What you are enduring is very heavy and it is not what God desires for you. To be treated as a servant, to have your limited income demanded from you, to be denied peace in your own dwelling, to be watched and questioned when you try to eat, and to be forbidden to worship God or hear His Word is oppressive and unkind. The Lord sees your affliction, your weariness, your weight loss and sickness, and your longing to be restored to fellowship with Him. He is not distant from you.

The Word tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. He also promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. That includes your need for safe housing, for daily bread without fear, for healing in your body, and for restoration in your walk with Him. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and He says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

We also want to gently remind you that your desire to be restored into His grace is already answered in Jesus Christ. There is nothing you have done by having to stay in this difficult place that puts you outside His grace when you come to Him through Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus in your request, for He is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him John 14:6. If you have put your trust in Jesus who died for your sins and rose again, you are forgiven and held in His grace even now. He will restore health to you, and heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17 and after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace will perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you 1 Peter 5:10. He also promises I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten Joel 2:25.

We are concerned for your wellbeing. Being pressured to hand over money, to buy groceries and meals for another person when you are low income and only sleeping on a couch, and being expected to clean up after willful mess and disrespect is a form of exploitation and it is wrong in the sight of God. He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker Proverbs 14:31. You are worthy of dignity, peace, and safety. We encourage you to continue pursuing housing through your local housing authority, and also to reach out for additional help through your local Area Agency on Aging, senior services, a trusted pastor or church, or a social worker who can advocate for low income senior housing and check on your housing application status. If you feel unsafe or financially exploited, please consider speaking confidentially with a pastor, counselor, or adult services caseworker who can help you find safer temporary options. Please also seek medical care soon for your weight loss, loss of appetite, and sickness, and let a doctor know about your medications and how much stress you are under.

For your spiritual hunger, we encourage you not to let this man steal your worship. Even if you cannot watch religious programs on his television, you can still pray silently, read the Word if you have a Bible, and listen to gospel songs quietly with earbuds on a phone or radio. God hears you wherever you are. We agree with you that God created the heavens and the earth and mankind, and that truth is far greater than the empty shows that deny Him.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up our dear senior friend to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see every day of these fifteen months on that couch, every harsh word, every demand, every loud and restless night, every meal eaten in anxiety, and every tear shed in misery. We ask You to forgive where forgiveness is needed and to cover this life with the blood of Jesus and restore fellowship and peace. Lord, provide safe, affordable housing very soon. Open doors that have been closed, move the waiting lists, guide caseworkers, and make a place of quiet and dignity where Your child can rest, cook and eat in peace, sleep without disturbance, and worship You freely. We ask for healing in the body, for appetite and strength to return, for sickness to be lifted, and for medications to work as they should under a doctor's care. We ask for emotional restoration, for comfort in place of oppression, and for joy in hearing gospel songs and gathering with a church family again. Protect this dear one from further financial demands and exploitation, and give wisdom and favor with those who can help. We also pray for the man in that home, that his heart would be convicted of his unkindness and his hatred toward You, and that he would come to repentance and know Jesus as Savior. Let Your will be done in all of this, and let Your name be glorified. We trust You as our refuge and provider. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily, to keep praying in Jesus name, and to keep asking for help from godly people nearby. God has not forgotten you. Wait for Him and keep trusting, for He is faithful. Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you Psalm 55:22. We are praying that very soon you will have your own quiet home, healing in your body, and a church where you can worship and hear the gospel with joy.

And because you mentioned losing weight, hardly being able to eat, feeling sick and taking a lot of medications, please see your doctor or clinic soon so they can check on you alongside our prayers.

Your afflicted letter has been laid before the Lord with much prayer, and your sorrow is not hidden from Him who sees the couch where you lie and the burden you bear day by day.

It is well to have grace enough to see that tribulation comes from God, for He fills the bitter cup as well as the sweet goblet. That which you receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and this makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. Men do not prune the vine they mean to uproot, nor thresh out the weeds which they mean to burn. He who is chastened is not given over to destruction. If your burden does not fit your shoulder, bear it till it does, and time will reconcile you to the yoke if grace abides with you. It is not for us to choose our affliction, for He who chooses our inheritance for us also appoints the trial that shall refine us.

Yet there is a higher restoration than recovery from bodily sickness or deliverance from hard lodgings. There is deliverance from going down to the pit. When the soil slips from under our feet and we are ready to dash into that bottomless pit, He can come in even then and rescue to the praise of the glory of His grace. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. To escape from Satan himself, and from the concealment and confusion that darkness brings, is the great work of grace. Grace has not come merely to keep us from a few notable vices, but to deliver us altogether from the power of darkness, and to make sin itself detestable to us.

You confess your love for God and your desire to be restored into His grace, and you ask forgiveness through Jesus. Hear this glad truth, that no one can force mercy from God, and there is no need to try, for God gives freely, even without persuasion. No one prompted His grace. Out of His own heart the thought of bounty came from of old, of His own good pleasure. A man can receive nothing unless it is given him from above, and that gift is the Holy Spirit opening the heart to receive grace. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His blood alone, and from sin's pit to Heaven's gate the whole road is paved with divine grace. If the Lord calls you His child, you did no wrong to touch the hem of His garment. Come boldly to the throne of grace, since grace has made you meet to come. Do not hide your faith as if it were a thing to be ashamed of, though the man with whom you lodge hates God and forbids the hearing of the Word. That is indeed the power of darkness, and we do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His holiness. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to it is holy within that covenant alone. What you describe is not a home but a hard trial of dependence upon one who does not fear the Lord, and we pray not that such a yoke would be blessed, but that you would be delivered from it.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy will provide for you a quiet and safe dwelling where you may eat in peace, sleep without fear, and hear the gospel sung and preached without hindrance. It is right to desire to go to the house of God and to hear gospel songs, for faith comes by hearing. Seek out a faithful church near you and make your need known to the pastor and to those who care for the poor and the aged, that they may help you in seeking housing and in bearing your infirmities. Continue to seek help from those appointed to aid the low income and the senior, and let no shame keep you from asking. For your body, which is losing weight and is weak under many medicines, ask the Lord for healing according to His will, and seek also the help of those skilled in caring for the sick, that your afflictions may be eased.

You are right to hold fast that God created the heavens and the earth and mankind, and that the strange doctrines of alien visitations are lies of darkness. Hold to the plain Word of God, which alone tells us whence we came and whither we go.

May the Lord speak in great grace concerning you and say, Deliver her from going down to the pit. May He deal in love with you even now, and show you that His grace is sufficient, that His pruning proves you are still His vine, and that He will not leave you on that couch without a place of rest which He has appointed. May He heal your sickness as seems good in His wisdom, restore to you the joy of His salvation, and set your feet in a place where you may worship Him in peace and be built up in love toward God and toward your fellow men, which is the more excellent way.

We entreat the Lord for you, that He would grant you provision, restoration, and healing, that He would open a door for housing soon, that He would guard your body and your spirit, and that He would keep you by His grace until you stand before His throne through divine grace alone.

Your prayer has been heard, and the heaviness and weariness you describe are not hidden from God. To be without a home of your own, to sleep on a couch and feel treated as a servant, to be watched and questioned, pressed for money and groceries, denied peace in your own daily life and even forbidden to hear the Word and gospel songs you love, is a deep affliction. It is understandable that you feel sick in body and spirit, losing strength and appetite under such strain, and that you long for a door to open to safe housing, for health, and to be restored in the grace of God.

Know first that where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all through His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things and by whom He made the world. That grace does not only pardon what is past, but teaches us to turn from ungodliness and to live soberly and righteously in this present world as we look for the blessed hope of our Savior Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other way to be restored except through Jesus Christ alone, who gave Himself to redeem us from all iniquity and to purify us for Himself. Whatever has weighed on your conscience, whatever you feel you need forgiven, bring it plainly to Him in repentance and faith. As it was with those who once lived far from God yet believed and were purified and converted, so He receives all who come to Him with a contrite heart, and His gift is not wages earned but mercy freely given.

You have asked for provision and for housing, and it is right to ask. God is your provider, and He sees the need of a low income senior waiting so long for a place to live. Continue to pray and also to seek every lawful help He may provide through His people. If you have not already, reach out to your local housing authority to confirm your place on the waiting list, and ask a trusted pastor, church, senior services agency, or community help center to advocate with you and to know where you are living. If you are being pressured for money or feel unsafe, let a pastor or a trusted family member or a senior help service know so you are not alone in carrying this burden. God calls His people to be a house of healing, where those who are weary may hear the laws of the Spirit and find calm in the midst of storm, and He often provides through the hands of His church.

You have asked for healing, and you carry many infirmities and medications and the exhaustion of constant noise and disorder. Scripture calls the grace of the Spirit both fire and water, fire to warm and cleanse, water to wash and refresh the thirsty soul like a garden that is watered and ever flourishing. Christ said whoever drinks the water He gives shall never thirst, for it becomes in him a well springing up to everlasting life. Ask Him for that living water daily, to cleanse, to refresh, and to strengthen you in body and soul according to His mercy. Caring for the body for health is good and right, to have food and rest and medicine for your infirmities, not for indulgence but for strength to walk with Him.

You have asked to be restored into His grace and to hear gospel songs again and to go to church. Even when you are forbidden to watch or listen openly, you can still sing with grace in your heart to God. The faithful know that hymns and spiritual songs are not only sung with the mouth but with heedfulness within. Even in the marketplace, even walking or sitting in a loud room, you can collect yourself and pray in your heart, and God alone hears, as He heard Moses when he cried inwardly without a word. Let your heart become tablets where His law is written by the Holy Spirit, bright with grace, and keep with you what you hear of His Word, writing it in your mind when you return home. Nothing is so terrible to the evil one as a mind careful about divine matters and a soul that ever hangs over this fountain. Though your surroundings are noisy and unclean and unkind, you can have inward peace that the disorder around you cannot take away.

Let us pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on Your servant. Forgive sins and wash away all that burdens the conscience, and restore to full assurance of Your grace through faith in Christ alone. Provide a safe and affordable place to live, open the door to housing soon, and give favor with those who manage the waiting lists and resources. Heal afflictions of body, give appetite and strength and rest, and guide wise care for health. Guard from exploitation and from fear, give wisdom for each step and place faithful people nearby to help and to welcome into fellowship and worship. Let Your Spirit be as living water within, refreshing and sustaining, and let hymns and prayers rise continually in the heart even when lips must be silent. Grant peace that passes understanding and a calm in the midst of this storm. We ask this trusting that Your gift is by grace, and that You hear those who call upon You through Jesus. Amen.

Keep seeking Him daily in prayer, keep asking for a church family to stand with you, and do not despair. He who spoke in times past by the prophets has now spoken by His Son, and His grace is nearer than you think.
