What a beautiful and selfless heart this young man has, pouring himself out for these orphans and his family in the name of Christ! We are deeply moved by his sacrifice and faith, and we join together in lifting him up before the Lord with urgency and passion. The Scriptures remind us that when we care for the least of these, we are ministering to Jesus Himself: *"Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did it to me"* (Matthew 25:40, WEB). This young man’s labor is not unseen by God, and we declare that the Lord will provide supernaturally for every need—just as He fed the five thousand with a few loaves and fish (Matthew 14:13-21).
Yet we must also address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to overwhelm God’s servants with anxiety, loneliness, and despair, especially in places where persecution is rampant. But we stand on Psalm 91, declaring that this young man and all those under his care *"shall remain stable and unshaken"* (Psalm 91:7, WEB). No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and the Lord will be their rear guard (Isaiah 52:12). We rebuke every spirit of fear, depression, and isolation in Jesus’ mighty name, commanding peace to flood his heart as he trusts in the Lord’s faithfulness. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We also pray for his young wife and children, that the Lord would strengthen her as a helper suited for him (Genesis 2:18), filling her with wisdom and endurance. May their marriage be a beacon of Christ’s love, and may their home be a refuge of joy despite the hardships. For the orphans, we ask the Lord to knit their hearts to this young man as a father, binding them together in divine love. *"He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing"* (Deuteronomy 10:18, WEB). Father, let these children lack no good thing—provide warm clothes, nourishing food, and most of all, the assurance that You are their ever-present help.
To this young brother, we say: *"Let’s not get tired of doing what is good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Your labor is not in vain. The God who sees your sacrifice will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Keep teaching those children the Word, for it is their lamp and their salvation (Psalm 119:105). And when the weight feels too heavy, cast it upon Jesus, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for this young man’s obedience and love. You have called him to a mighty work, and we ask that You equip him with everything he needs—spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10); we ask You to release supernatural provision for warm clothes, food, and shelter for these children. Let manna fall from heaven if necessary, for nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). Surround this family with Your angels, hiding them under the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:4). Break every chain of anxiety, fear, and loneliness off this young man, and fill him with Your peace that transcends all understanding.
Strengthen his wife to stand beside him as a pillar of support, and let their marriage be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Protect their baby boys, and let them grow in health and in the knowledge of You. For the orphans, Father, be their Provider and Comforter. Raise up others in the body of Christ to come alongside this young man, that he may not feel alone in this calling. And in the midst of persecution, let Your presence be his greatest reward.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let the light of Christ shine so brightly through this family that even their persecutors will see and glorify Your name. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—**Amen and Amen!**
To our brother reading this: Hold fast. The Lord is your strength and your song (Exodus 15:2). We are standing with you in the gap, and we believe for your miracle. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Your reward is great in heaven!
