Proverbs, Chapter 9

9:1 Wisdom has built her house; She has cut out her seven pillars:

9:2 She has killed her beasts; She has mingled her wine; She has also furnished her table:

9:3 She has sent forth her maidens; She cries on the highest places of the city:

9:4 Whoever is simple, let him turn in here: As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,

9:5 Come, eat+ of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled.

9:6 Leave off, you+ simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding.

9:7 He who corrects a scoffer gets to himself reviling; And he who reproves a wicked man [gets] himself a blot.

9:8 Don't reprove a scoffer, or else he will hate you: Reprove a wise man, and he will love you.

9:9 Give [instruction] to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

9:10 The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom; And knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

9:11 For by me your days will be multiplied, And the years of your life will be increased.

9:12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; And if you scoff, you alone will bear it.

9:13 The foolish woman is clamorous; [she is] simple, and knows nothing.

9:14 And she sits at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city,

9:15 To call to those who pass by, Who go right on their ways:

9:16 Whoever is simple, let him turn in here; And as for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,

9:17 Stolen waters are sweet, And bread [eaten] in secret is pleasant.

9:18 But he does not know that the spirits of the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. Proverbs 9:10,11.

A verse with promise! Another verse is:

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Exodus 20:12. We know this verse as part of the Ten Commandments!

I believe I need to reach Proverbs, once chapter a day as indicated here. There is much in the word that comes back to memory, but more that needs read. I pray daily when I read the Bible, for understanding and comprehension, of the Word. Proverbs is such as book, as much of the Bible. Each time we read it, God shows us what He wants us to know, that day, that particular time in our life.

The joy of the Lord is our strength. Wisdom brings that JOY!

Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult: whoever who rebukes a wicked man incurs rebuke' (Proverbs 9:7)

Give me wisdom Lord that I may build my house; (Prov 9:1)

Give me instruction and I will be wiser:

Teach me righteousness that I may increase in learning.(Prov 9:9)

For in my ignorance I spoke foolishly saying 'they are simple, and know nothing.'

calling on by to those who pass by and those who go on their way.(prov 9:3,15)

Forgive my lack of wisdom in speech and attitude

Now Lord you have said Whoever is simple, let him turn in you (Prov 9:16)

For the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom;

And knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.(Prov 9:10)

may you multiply my days and make them good days as you increase the years of my life. (Prov 9:11)

Amen

Thank You Lord so much for the wisdom You have put in Your word and in these hearts here. May all of us see the preciousness on the fear of the Lord, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom-Jesus is indeed Wisdom.

And Jesus the Son of God Who knew no sin, indeed delights in the fear of the Lord -Isaiah 11:3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, . Whatmore we mere humans who have weaknesses should embrace the fear of GOd for the fear of the Lord is clean and it endures forever-Psalm 19:9 :)

PRAISE GOD! PROVERBS 9:1 WISDOM HAS BUILT HER HOUSE; SHE HAS HEWN OUT ITS SEVEN PILLARS." As I read this particular scripture, just the first one alone, I thought about my situation, and what I believe God is going to bring to pass for me. A new home, but as well as a new home, the Lord wants me to obtain Wisdom. He wants to create in me a new person, a new woman, and a new mother in Him. I truly believe that the woman in the woman in Proverbs 9, is the woman that the Lord desires for me to be. He wants me to be the woman of wisdom, and not the one of folly. He wants me to Seek Him and not just material things, and once I find HIM, I WILL ALSO FIND WISDOM.

Lord.indeed have i trusted.never let be confounded.

This one verse is so important in our own lives. To honor our parents... even in their old age. Lots of people forget they have parents when they grow up and the parents are left to fend for themselves... sometimes without food or lodging. Some elderly parents are left in nursing homes and no one visits them at all. A real Christian, who love God and obey His Word should not do that. To honor our parents is to be with them and help them even when they are at the doors of eternity. Whatever you saw in life that will also reap sooner or later. Thank you Jesus for your Word. Amen
