You speak of standing on the word, committing your ways to the Lord, and waiting with excitement while you do not yet see the answers. This is the very proof of faith, that you endure without sight, trusting that He who promised is faithful. For what credit is it if He gives at once and you receive? But when the fulfillment tarries and you do not despair, then is your faith made genuine, a work of patience that shines before God.
In that shelter, though you have no earthly husband or permanent dwelling, you possess a greater consolation: the Father of the fatherless and the Judge of the widows is Himself your portion. Do not mourn your circumstances, for they become a crown as you bear them with thanksgiving. You spread His word among those who will listen, and even when some turn a deaf ear, your labor is not in vain. Remember, the work of faith is this: to suffer all things without being shaken. Your steadfastness, your zeal, your daily encouragement of others, these are the fruit of a living hope, and they rise as a memorial before God.
The patience you are learning, as you wait for petitions already granted in the unseen realm, is not a small thing. It is the patience shown in afflictions, which produces hope, and hope does not put to shame. The Scriptures were given for this very purpose, that through endurance and the comfort they bring, you might abound in hope. So do not grow fainthearted if the full manifestation lingers. Even the Apostle Paul had to learn that God’s deliverance sometimes comes through many prayers and over much time, and he himself did not always know what to pray for as he ought. Yet he gave thanks in everything, knowing that the prayers of the saints and the mercy of God work together.
Continue, then, in that spirit of excitement and anticipation. Let your conscience give you consolation now, for you are walking in obedience. And know that as you commit each day to the Lord, the very works of your hands are being established, though you may not see the full structure yet. The gospel you share with those women is a witness, and your life of trust becomes a sermon louder than words. I give thanks to God for your work of faith and labor of love, and I join my prayers to yours, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.
