Your prayer for your son has been received with care and compassion, and we join you in lifting him up before the Lord who loves him dearly.
We thank God with you for keeping him seizure free these many months, and for His merciful care over every detail of his life. We hear your longing for his peace, rest, healing and joy, and we bring each of these needs to our Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have grace and peace and access to God.
We pray that the God of peace, who reconciled heaven and earth through His Son, would guard your son's heart and mind with the peace that surpasses all understanding. As Scripture teaches, each of His little ones has an angel who beholds the face of the Father, and we ask the Lord to surround your son with His holy angels and with His protection over your home, every room, every door, and every place he goes, shielding him from fear, torment and spiritual attack.
We ask the Lord to bring calm to his mind and body, to soothe sensory distress, to ease anxiety and the painful memories that trouble him, and to grant him restful sleep at night and a calm, content and gentle spirit by day. We pray for clarity and confidence in his communication, that he may express his wants and needs in peaceful and gentle ways, and that mealtimes, hygiene, grooming and dressing would be free from confusion, pain and distress. We ask God to bless his food, to comfort his body, and to help him eat with thankfulness and contentment.
We pray also for all who care for him, his caregivers, his support coordinator, his sisters and all in your household, that God would give them wisdom, patience, compassion, strength and gentleness, and that your home would be filled with love, respect and unity. Where there has been division or harmful influence, we pray the Lord would bring His true peace, which is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. True peace comes when what is harmful is put away and hearts are made whole in Christ, so we ask God to remove what is not of Him and to replace fear and agitation with love, self control and soundness of mind.
For your daughter we pray that the Lord would guard her heart, guide her relationships according to His good and holy design for love and marriage between one man and one woman within a lifelong covenant, and draw her closer to her brother in kindness and compassion. Where any person brings confusion or harm, we ask God in His wisdom to bring protection, discernment and godly boundaries for your whole family.
We ask for the healing of your son in body, mind and spirit according to the Lord's perfect will, remembering that by His wounds we are healed and that God delights to make peacemakers His children. May the Lord who came to bring peace on earth establish that peace deeply in your son, in your family and in your home, and may He grant you all a calm and restful night and joyful days ahead.
