Protection

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for bringing your family before the Lord with such faithful, persistent prayer. Your love for your children and your desire to see them protected, healed, and walking in God's will is evident, and God hears the prayers of a parent who seeks Him.

I join you in asking the Father for His covering over you and your children today. Scripture teaches that God Himself places a hedge of protection around His people and gives His angels charge over them to guard them in all their ways. When that hedge is in place, the enemy cannot simply break through. In Jesus Christ alone we have access to that protection through His blood, and we can trust Him to watch over your minds, hearts, bodies, and spirits, your home, your yard, and your vehicles, every door and window and room. I pray He will fill your home with the peace that surpasses all understanding, the kind of peace that guards hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

I pray for each of your children by name before the Lord. For your son, I ask for God's gentle healing and restoring touch. He places great value on each soul, more than the whole world, and by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. I pray the Lord will calm his mind, ease anxiety and sensory distress, soften rigidity, heal the wounds of past trauma, and give him days marked by peace, joy, gentleness, and satisfaction. I ask that God will anoint his caregivers with wisdom, patience, and dedication to bring out the best in him, and that his surroundings would be filled with safety and love and that his life would reflect the light of Christ.

For your younger daughter, I thank God with you for the respectful young man in her life and I pray that their courtship would continue to honor the Lord. I ask God to keep it pure, kind, and centered on Him, to protect her health, her studies, and her work, to grant her Godly friendships, focus, wisdom, and favor, and to guard her from any influence that would pull her toward confusion or compromise. May she continue to stand steadfast, grateful for the family God has given her, and to make choices that honor Him.

For your older daughter, I pray with you for clarity, courage, and restoration. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's eyes and does not carry the covenant rights and responsibilities of marriage. Scripture calls us to purity and reserves sexual union and the shared life of husband and wife for the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. I pray the Lord in His loving kindness will draw your daughter to see this truth clearly, to desire repentance and a life that honors Him, and to understand her worth in Christ alone rather than in the approval of another person. I ask that every ungodly tie, every controlling and manipulative influence, and every scheme to bring division, isolation, jealousy, and strife into your family would lose its power and be removed. If it is not God's will for this relationship to continue, I pray He will break its hold completely and give your daughter a hunger for home, for peace, and for renewed fellowship with you and her siblings. If it be His will to save, I pray He would bring even those who have caused hurt to salvation. Above all I ask that God would restore an unbreakable, respectful, and loving bond between you and your children, and that He would frustrate every plan intended to divide your home.

I also pray for your home to be a beacon of His light, where words are kind, thoughts are pure, actions are guided by His Spirit, and laughter, fellowship, and love abound. I ask God to clothe each of you with the full armor He provides, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is His Word, so you may stand firm against every spiritual attack, word curse, and negative influence. I rebuke in Jesus name every spirit of fear, chaos, jealousy, spite, and manipulation, and ask the Lord to remove them and keep them far from you.

For the health needs you mentioned, for breathing difficulties and for the challenges of POTS and for every source of physical distress, I ask the Lord to bring relief and strength, for with God nothing will be impossible. I pray He will grant you all efficiency without exhaustion, favor and recognition for honest work at school and on the job, and a joyful day together as a family.

Continue to trust the One who promised to be with His people when they return to Him and walk in His way. He knows how to deliver the righteous and to keep His children even when the world around them is vexed and confused. He is merciful, He is faithful to His covenant kindness across families and generations, and He delights in restoring what has been broken.

May the Lord surround you today with His hedge, let His angels encamp around you, saturate you with His joy and grace, and let this day be wholly His, filled with His protection, healing, and breakthrough. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
