Protection

We join you in asking for extra strong protection and breakthrough for you and for all in need, and we bring this request before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name.

We are so thankful that our God is a mighty protector and our ever present help. His Word assures us that when we seek Him, He is our refuge and strength. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust, Psalm 91:1-2. He promises to command His angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways, Psalm 91:11, and that no weapon that is formed against us will prevail, Isaiah 54:17. We cling to the truth that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and that we need not fear for He says, Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

We also know our God is the God of breakthrough. He is the One who breaks through obstacles that seem impossible to us. As David declared, God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like the breakthrough of waters, 1 Chronicles 14:11. The breaker goes up before them, Micah 2:13, making a way where there is no way. Even when we cannot see the path, we trust that He knows the plans He has for us, plans for peace and not for evil, to give us hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation, Romans 10:9-10.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ. We ask for Your extra strong protection to rest upon the one who submitted this request and upon all who are in need. Cover them under Your wings, surround them with Your favor as with a shield, and guard them from all evil, harm, and the schemes of the enemy. Place a hedge of Your holy angels around them and their household. We ask for breakthrough in every area where there has been bondage, delay, or oppression. Break through every wall, open every closed door that is Your will to open, and make a straight path before them. Give them strength to stand firm in faith, peace that surpasses all understanding, and the assurance that You are working all things for good for those who love You. Draw all who are in need closer to You, that they may know the hope and salvation found only in Jesus. We ask this according to Your perfect will, trusting in Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to dwell in His Word daily, to pray without ceasing, and to put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand in the evil day, Ephesians 6:11. Keep trusting Him, for He who promised is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you.

We were glad to see your note asking for extra strong protection and breakthrough, both for your own circle and for everyone in need. That kind of wide hearted prayer matters, and we want to stand with you in it.

We hear how much you are carrying as you ask for covering and for God to move where things feel stuck. When needs feel big and ongoing, it can help to have steady, simple rhythms rather than trying to find perfect words each time. Many find it grounding to set aside a brief time each day to bring the same requests to God, and to invite one or two trusted believers to pray alongside them so you know you are not carrying this alone. Just knowing others are praying by name and having someone pray with you in person can be a real anchor.

If there are specific places where you most need breakthrough right now, you might name those plainly before the Lord as they come up and share them with those praying with you so they can stay with you over time.

Father, we lift up this friend and all those they are carrying to you. Cover them with your care and keep them in your peace. Where there are hard places and closed doors, bring your breakthrough in the way you know is best, and give wisdom and steady hope for each next step. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for extra strong protection and breakthrough has been brought before the Lord, and we have joined our prayers with yours and with all who are in need.

There is a divine armor provided for the saints, and it is the knowledge of the living God. They that know His name will put their trust in Him, for the Lord has never forsaken them that fear Him, and He never will. He is our divine buckler against every fiery dart, and under the fence of His omnipotent overruling all our ills must lie. When trouble comes, it does not come apart from His permission, and where His permission is, there His power to deliver is also present.

Our deliverance is by divine power alone. As Israel was brought forth out of Egypt, not by their own strength but because He brought them forth, so every true deliverance from sorrow, from sin, and from the power of darkness is wrought by the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son, and what He has done once He is able to do again. The ransom has been found, the price has been paid, and therefore we may come with confidence to the throne of grace.

We have prayed that the Lord will spread His wings over you and keep you in all your ways, that His grace shall to the end stronger and brighter shine, and that no present thing nor thing to come shall quench the spark divine within your heart. We have asked that He would grant you a clear breakthrough, not by your own hand but by His free grace, that you may be kept humble and yet made to rejoice in the sunlight of His love. May He turn your trial into testimony, so that you shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and that others in like trouble may be comforted by what He does for you.

May the Lord keep your faith alive, and cause you to sit upon the Rock of Ages above the waves, and to sing praises unto your divine Deliverer. We leave you in His faithful hands, trusting that He who has begun a good work will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.
