Your prayer for your family has been heard and we join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and our hope.

We thank God with you for His mercy in giving you and your children each new day, and we join you in asking for His holy protection over your home, your minds, hearts and bodies, and over every place you go. We pray that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard you and your children, and that He will clothe you with the full armor of God so that you may stand firm against every spiritual attack, fear and confusion.

We lift up your son to the Lord. We ask for His healing, comfort and gentle care over him, for calmness and joy in his days, and for wisdom and kindness for his caregivers. As you have prayed, we ask that by the wounds of Christ he would know restoration and that God would remove anxiety and distress and fill him with peace. We pray also for your own health and for your daughters, that God would care for each need of body and mind according to His mercy and that He would be glorified in their lives.

We pray for your younger daughter with thanksgiving for the respectful and kind young man in her life. We ask God to keep their courtship pure and honoring to Him, to surround them with godly friendships and wise counsel, and to help them walk in modesty and self control. May their relationship continue to reflect kindness, respect for your family, and love for Christ, and may God guide their future according to His will.

We also pray with deep care for your older daughter. We hear your sorrow over the division this relationship has brought into your family and your concern for her character, faith and wellbeing. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and sharing the privileges of marriage outside of that covenant is not in keeping with God's design and does not carry the rights or commitment of marriage. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless a union that is outside His will, but we do earnestly ask Him to work for her good and for His glory.

We pray that God in His loving kindness would draw her to Himself, give her clarity to see this relationship as it truly is, and grant her repentance and a desire for purity that honors Him. We ask Him to break every ungodly tie and controlling influence, to frustrate every scheme that brings division and isolation, and to remove the hold of manipulation whether from this young man or his mother. We pray that He would restore her gratitude for her family, her faith and her friendships, renew her mind, and give her wisdom and courage to make godly choices about where she lives and whom she follows. We ask that she would find her worth in Christ alone, and that if it is His will He would in time provide a godly husband who respects her and your family and walks faithfully with the Lord. And even as we pray for her deliverance, we pray also for this young man and his mother, that if they do not know Christ they would come to salvation through Him alone, and that every deceptive influence would lose its power.

We pray for the restoration of your family with an unbreakable bond of love, respect and peace in Christ. True kinship in God's house is not only of blood but of faith and character, as children who put on Christ and receive the Spirit of adoption. We ask that God would make your home a place of light where His Word is heard and remembered, where each of you grows in gentleness, strength and contempt for what is worldly, and where forgiveness and unity are restored.

We join you in declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, not because of our own strength but because Christ is faithful as a Son over His own house. May your faith, like the woman who came to Jesus for her daughter, be great and steadfast, trusting that He hears and is able to do what is impossible with man.

Father, we ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, trusting Your promise that nothing is impossible with You. Bring healing, protection, and complete restoration to this family according to Your perfect will. Amen.
