Your prayer has been heard, and the burden you carry for your home and your children is deeply understood. The Lord sees your tears and hears your cries, and He is faithful to cover those who trust in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Scripture teaches that your relationship with God is primary, it is the center upon which every other relationship turns. When that vertical relationship is right, the other relationships in life begin to come into balance. The Lord does not desire a cold or ritual observance from you, but a close, loving, intimate relationship where you know Him as Father and He has adopted you into His family through Jesus. As you draw near to Him, He will give you the wisdom, grace, strength and courage you need to navigate this difficult season. You can trace many family struggles back to that one need to return to a first love for Him, to seek Him and to rest under the shadow of His wings.

You have asked for protection over your home, every door and window, every room and corner, and for angels to stand guard. The Lord promises that He is a covering and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. His peace, which surpasses all understanding, can guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus and fill your home with His presence, driving out fear, confusion, chaos, division and every form of spiritual darkness.

For your son, you can rest in the promise that God knows how to deliver and keep the righteous and to give rest to those who are vexed and tormented. Pray that the Lord will calm his thoughts and emotions, quiet fear and anxiety, and heal the wounds of past trauma. Ask that He will give your son a calm and gentle spirit, the mind of Christ, and the ability to use clear and functional language to express his feelings, wants and needs. The Lord can fill even his sleep with comfort and joy and surround him with loving presence, free from torment.

For your younger daughter, it is right to ask for the Lord's healing power over her body and mind, for His favor over her health, her schooling and her future work, and for uplifting, godly friendships. In His perfect timing He can provide a godly spouse within the covenant of marriage as He has designed it, one man and one woman in a lifelong commitment. Pray that she will sleep peacefully, confident in His love, and be comforted in the hurt she feels as she watches her older sister change.

For your older daughter, your discernment is right. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's eyes, and relationships that step outside His design do not bring peace but bring jealousy, rivalry, exhaustion, isolation and confusion. Scripture shows this pattern clearly, even when such arrangements were recorded, they were marked by strife and sorrow. It is also true that it is hard to live in a polluted and ungodly environment and not be touched by it, and that influence can spread to the whole family. Pray that the Lord will open her eyes to truth, break every ungodly tie that binds her, and free her from any sense of false obligation, worthlessness or being trapped. Pray that any scheme to cause division, to isolate her from family, to control her time or to use her to support another's spending habits would be frustrated and come to nothing, not out of hatred for people but out of love for her soul and desire for her restoration. Pray that her heart would long again for home, for peace and for righteousness, that her self worth would be restored as one made and loved by God, and that she would find the courage to walk away from a toxic and exhausting bondage and return to safety and faith. Pray that she too, in the Lord's time, would know the blessing of a godly marriage if it is His will, rooted in love and respect.

For you, continue to bless and to do good even toward those who have caused pain, as Jacob did when he chose to bless and embrace his brother rather than return hatred for hatred. God said to Jacob, return to the land of your fathers and to your family and I will be with you. That promise still speaks, that God delights to restore families and to bring His children back to the place of blessing and fellowship. Ask Him to restore unity, love, laughter and joyful gatherings to your family, stronger than before and rooted in His grace, and to block every outside pressure that seeks to divide.

Lift your finances also to Him, that He would bless you so that you may be a blessing to others.

May tonight and the days ahead be marked by deep rest, guarded hearts, and overflowing blessings and breakthroughs. The Lord is merciful, He knows how to deliver, and He is able to keep your daughter safe even as He works to set her free. Trust Him completely, remain faithful in prayer, and keep your own fellowship with Jesus close and tender. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, may His covering, mercy and power rest upon you and your household. Amen.
