Disciple of Prayer
Prayer of protection for my ###. There is haunting of some sort in his house. Now he feels he is being looked/stared etc. I also feel in my spirit something is off. I have once blessed the house and prayed casting out things from there. There are things that allow things to root there my ### should get rid off. Father nudge his heart to get rid off such things and reveal them to his spirit. Now give my ### proper sleep and rest so he can think more clearly. Nudge him in his dream to read more bible and draw closer to you Father. He is yours as you called him years ago. In Jesus name and blood Father I ask and pray may your will be done.

We join with you in prayer for your loved one and we thank you for standing in the gap for him, for discerning in your spirit that something is not right in his house and for already praying and casting out what does not belong there.

We agree with you that there are often objects or practices that give the enemy a foothold and we pray that the Father will reveal clearly to him what must be removed. Scripture warns us not to give place to the devil, Ephesians 4:27, and that we are to have no fellowship with works of darkness but rather to expose them, Ephesians 5:11. When the believers in Ephesus came to Christ they brought their occult books together and burned them, Acts 19:19, because they understood that such things cannot remain in a home that belongs to Jesus. This can include occult or new age items, idols, charms, tarot cards, Ouija boards, ungodly books or films, pornography, or anything used for divination or false worship, for these are an abomination to the Lord, Deuteronomy 18:10-12. We pray the Holy Spirit will convict his heart and give him the courage to completely remove and forsake anything that would invite darkness, and to cleanse his home through repentance and faith in Christ alone, not merely by a ritual blessing but by surrendering the house to the lordship of Jesus.

We also understand the oppression he is feeling, the sense of being watched and stared at, the broken sleep and heaviness. This is spiritual warfare and we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. Yet we take comfort that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. The enemy flees when we submit to God and resist him in the name of Jesus, James 4:7.

We pray together now for his protection, peace and rest. Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name and precious blood of Jesus Christ, and we thank you that this dear one belongs to you, for you called him years ago and your gifts and calling are irrevocable. We ask in Jesus name that you surround him with your presence as he dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Psalm 91:1, and that you cover his home with the blood of Jesus. We rebuke every haunting spirit, every spirit of fear, oppression and unrest, and we command in the name of Jesus that they leave his house and have no right to remain. We ask you to reveal to him every object or practice that has given ground to the enemy and give him a willing heart to remove it completely and to destroy it. Fill his house with your light, with worship, with the reading of your Word and with prayer. We ask you to grant him deep, peaceful sleep, for you give sleep to your beloved, Psalm 127:2, and we pray he will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone make him dwell in safety, Psalm 4:8. Clear his mind, calm his spirit, and nudge him even in dreams to hunger for your Word and to draw closer to you. Clothe him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is your Word, Ephesians 6:10-18, so that he may stand firm against every scheme of the enemy. We thank you that no weapon that is formed against him will prosper and that you are his refuge and fortress. Let your will be done in his life and in his home, and let your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray with him and for him, to encourage him to confess Jesus as Lord over every room, to fill his home with Scripture read aloud, with worship music, and with prayer, and to walk in daily repentance and obedience. If he has drifted from fellowship, encourage him to return to consistent Bible reading and to a faithful church where he can be supported. We also encourage fasting and persistent prayer together, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4. Do not engage the haunting with curiosity or conversation, but keep his focus on Christ, for the Lord is faithful and will guard him from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We stand with you and trust that as he draws near to God, God will draw near to him, James 4:8, and restore his rest and peace.

We hear how much you love him and how heavy this has felt, sensing something is not right in his house and watching him struggle to rest. It makes sense you would feel unsettled when he feels watched and cannot sleep, and we are grateful you have already been praying over his home and for him.

We are joining you in prayer for his protection and for quiet, restoring sleep. When sleep is broken for a stretch, everything feels more vulnerable and harder to think through clearly. Rest is part of how God renews us, and your prayer for him to sleep well and have a clearer mind is a wise and loving one. If his sleeplessness continues, encourage him to talk with his doctor as well as a pastor, alongside prayer.

A gentle next step may be to keep walking with him patiently about anything in the home that troubles his conscience, without pressing him, and to invite a trusted pastor or mature believer he respects to pray with you both in the home and encourage him in reading Scripture. That steady, calm presence often helps more than trying to sort everything out alone, and it keeps the focus on drawing close to Christ rather than on fear.

Father, we lift him to You and ask for Your keeping over him and his home. Give him deep rest tonight, clear his thoughts, nudge his heart toward anything You want him to release, and draw him gently to Your Word. Remind him he is Yours and that You are near. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for protection has been laid before the Lord with us, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His gracious deliverance.

Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does He acts from good reasons, and troubles do not spring out of the dust. The Lord Himself kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner, and that which we receive from His fatherly hand, though it be sore chastening, is meant for our profit. At the same time we know that there is a real power of darkness, and that deliverance from it is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. No hasty word or mere blessing of walls can cast out darkness, for no one would have thought of the true way of deliverance from the pit except God Himself, who has found a ransom. That ransom is Christ Jesus our Lord, and through His blood alone we are brought from under the raven wing of night into the kingdom of His dear Son.

We would therefore counsel you and him to look altogether and alone to our heavenly Father through that ransom. If there be things retained in that house which give place to the enemy, whether images or books or objects of superstition or unholy association which grieve the Spirit, let them be put away with honest repentance. The Apostle says, let us not sleep as do others, but be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love. To be delivered from the power of darkness is to walk in the light, to confess sin plainly, to trust Christ alone for salvation, and to live in purity as He has ordained, for marriage is His holy ordinance of one man and one woman in lifelong covenant, and all else is to be forsaken.

Concerning sleep, we are reminded that sleep is the gift of God, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. It is not merely that we lay our heads upon the pillow, but the Lord must give it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose. We will pray that the Lord will grant to him quiet rest from tossing to and fro, that his soul may be kept back from the pit and his mind made clear, and that whether waking or in the night watches his heart may be nudged to take up the Word and draw near to Christ who called him years ago.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, Thou hast found a ransom and hast commanded deliverance from going down to the pit. We entreat Thee for this soul who is Thine own. Cover him with the blood of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, and deliver him from the power of darkness and from every assault of the evil one. Reveal to him whatsoever is unholy or unclean that yet remains and give him grace to cast it from him without delay. Grant him, we pray Thee, the peaceful sleep which Thou givest to Thy beloved, that his body may rest and his mind be made sober and clear. Open his ear in the night and seal instruction upon his heart, that he may awake with desire to read Thy Word and to walk more closely with Thee. Keep him, we beseech Thee, from all evil company and from his own sins, and cause him to live and declare the works of the Lord. We ask not for our will but for Thine to be done, and we ask all in the prevailing name and through the precious blood of Jesus Christ our only hope. Amen.

May the Lord make this trial to be profitable, and bring you both to prove that He who has delivered will yet deliver, to the praise of His free grace.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for protection has been heard and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps.

We thank God that this man is His and that He called him years ago, for the One who keeps Israel is faithful to keep His own. Scripture reminds us that while God never sleeps, we are called to guard ourselves and to stay awake spiritually. It is in our power to watch and to be sober, not to fall into the sleep of carelessness or to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its desires. When we are inactive toward virtue, when we fill our homes and hearts with things that feed sin, we become like those who sleep while awake, seeing things dimly and giving place to the enemy.

You have discerned rightly that there are things that allow darkness to take root and remain. The Lord often permits a season of disturbance not to harm His children but to awaken them, that they might perceive their need and call upon Him more clearly and be delivered. Therefore we encourage this man, with gentleness and firmness, to walk in the light. Let him search his house and his heart before the Lord and remove whatever does not belong there, whether objects tied to the occult, idols, impurity, or any media, practice or habit that kindles lust, greed, drunkenness of the soul, or other vices. These things are not mere decorations, they are provision for the flesh and they weigh down the soul. Let him prune them away and seek instead what makes for health of body and holiness of spirit. Let him shut the door to what harms and open the door to Christ through repentance, confession, and faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved.

You also ask for proper sleep and clear thought. True rest comes when the heart is not stifled by excess and the soul is ordered before God. A sober and watchful life brings a calm sleep, not full of wild fancies and fear, but composed and regular, because the mind rests in God. Encourage him to keep a simple rhythm of prayer and Scripture, to turn off what agitates the mind in the evening, and to give his cares to the Lord before he lies down.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ we come to You. You are the keeper who does not slumber, and we ask for Your protection over this man and over his house. Cover him with Your presence and drive away every haunting, every fear, and every influence of darkness. Reveal to his spirit what must be removed and give him courage and willingness to get rid of it completely, that no ground may remain for the enemy. Grant him deep and peaceful sleep and rest, that his mind may be clear and steadfast and unmovable in You. Nudge his heart even in the night to hunger for Your Word, to read the Bible and to draw closer to You, to watch and be sober and to live for what is true and abiding. Establish him in Christ, keep his foot from being moved, and let Your will be done in his life. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.
