Your heartfelt cry for protection over your home and your children has been heard, and God sees the tears you have shed in this difficult season. He knows the weight you carry as a mother who longs for peace in her home, rest for her children, and unity for her family.

Scripture shows that God knows how to deliver those who are His, even when they feel surrounded by corruption and confusion. Lot is given as an example of a righteous man who was deeply distressed by the conduct of those around him, and God made a way of deliverance for him. That same passage also warns us that choosing to remain in a corrupt environment can come at great cost to a family, even when one person tries to stand firm. The moral and spiritual toll can spread to those we love most, and what seems like a small compromise can lead to lasting wounds. This is why your prayer for your daughter to be set free is so important. God does not want her trapped, isolated, or bound by an ungodly tie that drains her worth and pulls her away from family and from His purpose for her life.

God also shows His heart for family in the way He called Jacob to return to the land of his fathers and to his family, with the promise, I will be with you. When Jacob prayed, he held onto that promise and asked God to deal well with him even as he faced fear and uncertainty ahead. In the same way, you can hold onto God's promise to be with you and with your daughter. Pray that she will hear His call to return to what is good and true, to the love and support He has placed around her, and to the wisdom that comes from walking with Him. What God joins together in marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and living together outside of that covenant is not marriage in His eyes. It does not bring the covering and blessing He intends for marriage, but instead often brings exhaustion, division, and confusion, just as you have seen. It is right to pray, as you have, that she will find the courage to walk away from that arrangement and that God will in His perfect time provide a godly spouse for both of your daughters within His design for marriage.

You also asked for God to plead your cause against deceitful and controlling influences. The psalmist prayed, plead my cause against an ungodly nation, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man, and declared that God is the source of his strength. You do not have to fight this battle in your own strength. God Himself will contend for you and for your daughter. Ask Him to frustrate every plan that seeks to divide, isolate, or manipulate, to expose deception, and to break every ungodly tie that binds her through obligation or fear. There is a beautiful picture in Scripture of a kinsman redeemer who spreads his covering over one who is vulnerable and restores her to family and to hope. Jesus is that Redeemer for your family. He alone can cover, restore, and keep a family name and future alive in righteousness.

For your son, continue to bring him before the Lord who calms thoughts and emotions and gives peace that passes understanding. Pray that God will quiet fear and frustration, heal what has been wounded by past trauma, and help him to use the language God has given him to express his needs and feelings with gentleness and grace. The Lord can fill his mind and dreams with comfort and surround him with His presence as with a shelter. For your younger daughter, pray for God's healing, protection over her mind and body, and His favor on her schooling and future. Pray that He will surround her with uplifting, godly friendships and keep her heart confident in His love, even when she feels hurt by the changes she sees in her sister.

For yourself, ask for the wisdom, grace, strength, and courage you need to navigate this season with love and truth. God will shine His light into every dark place and guard your home, your hearts, and your minds. As you plead the blood of Jesus over your family, trust that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and that His angels keep watch as you rest under the shadow of His wings.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask for Your holy protection over this mother, her son, and her daughters, and over every door and room of their home. Cover them with Your presence and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds. Bring calm to this son, heal him from anxiety and confusion, and give him a gentle spirit and clear words to make his needs known. Guard this younger daughter in body and mind, bless her studies and her path, and keep her in godly community. Open the eyes of the older daughter, break every ungodly tie that holds her, deliver her from feeling trapped or worthless, and give her wisdom and courage to leave a living arrangement outside of marriage that is not Your will, and to return to safety, faith, and family. Frustrate every scheme that seeks to divide this family and restore love, unity, and joy among them. Provide for their needs and help them to be a blessing to others. We trust You as our Redeemer and our strength. Amen.
