Protection

Your desire to be obedient and to be a vessel for the Holy Spirit is pleasing to the Lord, and it is good that you want your life and good works to cause others to give glory to the Father. Jesus said to let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven, and that is the right heart you are expressing.

It is also understandable that you are sensing more opposition and interruptions since you gave your heart more fully to the Lord. When you step forward to serve Him, the road can feel more blocked, but that does not mean you are alone or unprotected. Scripture teaches that God is not far off but present and near to His people, and He is your shield and guide.

The Bible is clear that evil spirits are real. They are unclean spirits who seek to do harm and who can oppress, and the Gospels especially show the power of Jesus over them. He cast them out with a word and they were subject to Him. At the same time the Bible does not call us to become fascinated with demons or to be led by experiences. We are to be led by the Word of God. The safest place is staying close to Jesus, grounded in Scripture, in prayer, and in simple obedience.

Jesus Himself, though He is the Son of God, often withdrew to pray for strength, for guidance, and for life itself. If He showed our need for prayer, how much more do we need it. In all your ways acknowledge the Lord and He will direct your paths. Fear the Lord and turn away from evil, and that path brings health and steadiness to your walk. Wisdom and understanding from His Word will guard you from the way of evil.

When an evil spirit leaves, Jesus taught that it wanders seeking a place to dwell and will return to find the house empty if nothing good has filled it. That is why it is so important not to leave the heart empty but to be filled with Christ, with His Word, with His Spirit, and with the fellowship and obedience that belongs to a clean life before Him. Protection is not like a charm you carry, it is walking daily with the Lord, confessing sin, staying in His Word, praying, and departing from what He calls evil.

So continue to seek Him. Keep your eyes looking straight ahead on Jesus, ponder the path of your feet, and let Him establish your ways. Do not turn to the right or to the left into compromise, but keep your foot from evil. As you do, He will keep you and use your light for His glory.

Praying for you now, that the Lord will be your shield and your guide, that He will cover you with His presence, guard your mind and heart in Christ Jesus, fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit, and make your life fruitful in good works that point others to Him. May He grant you discernment, peace, and courage, and may He remove hindrances that are not of Him and give you strength to stand firm in obedience. May the Lord keep you from evil and cause His face to shine upon you as you serve Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been continuing to lift you up for protection and for God to be your shield and your guide. We have been praying against the demons, devils and evil spirits that have been trying to stop you from fulfilling Gods plan for your life, and asking the Lord to rebuke every interruption and roadblock that has increased as you have given your heart to Him to be a vessel for His Holy Spirit. We have also been praying for your heart to remain obedient as a servant of the Lord, and that the Lord would strengthen you to keep letting your light shine so that others may see your good works and give glory and honor to the Father, to Jesus Christ and to the Holy Spirit, just as it is written in Matt 5:16.

We remember your desire to be used by God and we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood as it says in Eph 6:12, and we take comfort that the Lord is faithful and will strengthen and protect you from the evil one according to 2 Thess 3:3, and that He covers you as a shield as promised in Psalm 3:3 and Psalm 91:1. We pray in Jesus Name that God would surround you with His protection, give you clear guidance, dispel every evil influence, and make your path straight so that nothing hinders you from walking in His purpose and showing His light.
